So, which players will be following him out of the door........

Play Sigurdsson central and he'll be OK. Get shot of Williams and Martina immediately to the under 7's. Jags end of season along with Baines. Keane will be OK without a donkey next to him. Klassen i literally have no idea about.
Imagine Williams going in, studs up, two feet, nowhere near the ball on a 5 year old.

Amazing.

Mirallas
Jagielka
Martina
Besic
Stek
Lennon.

Absolutely certain none of them will be here past this season.

Players like Sigurdsson, Klaasen, Schneiderlin and Sandro will all be given fresh chances by the new manager I think.

Don't get me wrong he was a great player but he's always been a follower and not a leader. Much like the majority of players we've had he's a bottler and when needed to step up he's never really done that he hides
This is probably one of the most important points we are going to face regardless of whom the next manager is. The person in question is going to need a second in command on the pitch, a true leader, something that we haven't had for god knows how long regardless of how many other team's captains we have bought in the last couple of seasons. We nail this conundrum, and it goes a long way to making ourselves a force again. New manager, new captain, both as important for me.

Bolasie
Klaassen
Schneiderlin
Williams
...and God knows what he's lumbered us with in Onyekuru.

Even leaving aside the last player, that's over £80M spent on mediocrity or worse. Then we'll see almost nothing back from Sigurdsson who, although a good player on his day, was a ridiculously overpriced purchase for someone who is basically a dead ball specialist.

I argued many times whilst that idiot was here that his spending would leave this club to repent at leisure once he'd gone - allowing him to shovel circa £100M into a furnace. That analysis is bang on as far as I'm concerned.
I think we will agree to disagree to some degree - I don't see that much of a gap given all of the names are widely respected footballers in their own right. Williams is the only one I can see that has totally blown up, but hey, who's to say you are wrong and I am right. It's all opinions.

I think if you look at the likely team from xmas onwards then you can see a whole ton of players need getting rid of. We really may have wasted the majority of that summer transfer kitty.
Likely team in my eyes.
Pickford
Coleman Jags Keane Baines
Davies Gana Siggy
Barkley Bolasie
Rooney
Assuming Barkley signs. If not, frick knows who is meant to ply on the right of attack.

Cuco - he tried but we need more quality
Stek - Been helpful but time to move on
Klassen - just not good enough and way too much money. Hes had quite a few chances.
Schneiderlin - got to be close to going....just not good enough and we have others
Williams - hard to say, I like him but hes been having a mare. Love the anger though.
Sandro - stick him in the second squad, we need cover.
Rooney - keep him but i dont want to pay him. impact sub?
Jagielka - sadly old now, but we dont have much cover.
Mirallas - needs to start playing proper but ive been thinking that for years so might be time for him to move on
Niasse - for president. they need to all look at him and get some Fing pride. but not good enough.
Baines - he still has a while yet and paired with a proper partner can get his form back.
Vlasic - been goodish
Siggy - hopefully he will play in his position and prove some of his stupid money
