Can't see us finishing 6th again next season with our current squad, especially when the teams around us have strengthened.

If we sign Kone and acquire other players for every position who are decent, I expect a top half finish.

I don't really know until I've seen them in the pre-season games, how Martinez will set up the squad and what style will influence my prediction for the season. I fully expect us to score more goals.

A cup please Roberto.

Top six and a cup semi final or better to be successful first year. Bottom half and Id want him out!

Its fine as long as we don't get ourselves relegated. Securing that 60m kitty would be first priority, but the marginal benefit of league places is currently undervalued, and we might actually save a few millions per year if we don't try too hard to get into the CL club.

Of course, if the current spine of the team is intact, I would accept anything better than #10. But I would prefer him shipping out players who are approaching their sell-by like Baines or Fellaini as this gives us long-term sustainability.

'Successful' - top 6
Acceptable - top half
Unacceptable - 11th/12th
Fail - below that (and looking wobbly to hold on)

...of course if we win a cup it'd be a successful year regardless (barring relegation)

Something liek this, but top half is the minimum requirement regardless of cup successes. I'm not really looking for this season to be a 'success' as such, just a good transition year, staying close to where we are in the table and starting to mould the squad to his liking. Obviously winning a cup/qualifying for Europe would be a 'success', but failure to meet that is not a problem for me this year.

I don't think I care, personally, provided we don't go down (but that may mean the gash board cash in their chips), we give it a go fearing no one whilst playing good footie. COYB

Spoken like a true modern football fan.

I'd rather play like Stoke and get top 6 mate rather than play pretty football and not.

It's a difficult one mate, and difficult to know where to draw the line in practice, but i'd deffo like our team to be less reactive and overawed :)

when it £35 a ticket, we want to see good football mate, Baines and Victor have also come out and said they are looking forward to playing good football under Martinez.

For me:

7th or 8th: Somewhat expected based on the squad he's inherited and assuming all stay at Everton.
5th or 6th: Would be a pleasant surprise based on adjustments squad would have to make to his style and system
4th or higher: That would be above and beyond by any measure.
