so, what do we do on Saturday?

For the first time since the mid 80's (I was there), I can honestly say that we need fear no team. Nor should we disrespect them, especially at their 'house'. But believe me, all teams respect Everton nowadays...we are on the march with RM's army

works in our favour that city have got a massive game against bayern munich on wednesday night which im sure they will field their strongest eleven for. Then they face us less than 2 and a half days after. If we go right for it and put them under pressure right from the start then we can get success.

I don't think we can sit back and hope to hit them on the break, they have too much quality.

We need to continue to do what we've been doing up to now - keep a high line, give the ball to Barkley and just let him run at them. He'll put any opposition on the back foot, which opens up space for Mirallas and Lukaku.

We'll miss Barry. I'm a bit worried that Gibbo lacks match sharpness.

Noone has posted this yet? Shame:

Keep doing what we're doing. Just play our own game. Plenty of match winners on the pitch for both sides, just hope we take our chances, as they will come.

If we play like the first half, we can get a draw or even better.

Play like the 2nd half and we'll be comfortably beat.

Your choice, Bobby.

Agree with the comments re: Bayern game. Anything to tire their players more before our game will be great. Yes, I know they can rotate their squad as much as they want but a few tired key players would be great. Need to get right at them though for that to make a tangible difference.

One thing that I noticed in in their game against utd was the way Kompany was bombing up the pitch on the break, really hurt them. We need to attack with pace or even a few long balls up to Lukaku to keep him honest. If we just play slow patient build up he'll feel safe in getting back.

Everton with Gibbo vs. Man City:
P3 W2 D1 L0

Panic stations if this substandard replacement is called in.
We can avoid this by hopefully bringing Pienaar in for Barry and Osman can move into the centre with McCarthy. Phew.

Norwich = Several lucky ricochets and mis-hit cross landing on their strijer's head.

West Ham = Penalty and deflected shot.

Newcastle = Once a season worldy and silly mix up.

We dominated all three games and were more unlucky not to score more than we were lucky not to concede more. Looking at City's squad, it isn't that great. Honest!

Especially with Silva and Aguero injured. They'll only have two days to recover from a gruelling CL fixture as well. We've got to go after them.

forgot about that CL game and im going to city too were the team in form at the minute
