In a way im happy we are not in Eruope, if we have anything to spend and i would say that is a big if i would rather see it go on one or two high quality players rather then padding out the squad with numbers with the likes of Castillo and Jacobson.

Have a real tilt at it next year.

I thought Europe were getting back together to tour, singing such classics as "Final Countdown" and, er, others.

As I believed that is what the thread was going to apply, then surely everything beforehand was off topic?

Although I would love us to be playing Europeon football the Europa League is brutal on teams, Thursday and Sunday football for the majority of the season after some long journeys. What team has done it and league form not suffered?

We did pretty well in 07/08 did we not?

Bingo! Why is this so hard to grasp?

Because of this:
English winners of the UEFA Champions League who do not qualify through their domestic position go forward as Winners to the group stage, with the team finishing fourth dropping to the UEFA Europa League. In this case, the national association of the title-holder is entitled to one additional place in the UEFA Europa League.

it won't happen bayern will batter them anyway. I miss european nights unless the are in romania or portugal.

oh dear caveo, another one bites the dust.

Which part of:

English winners of the UEFA Champions League finishing outside the top four places (but who qualify for the UEFA Europa League through their domestic Barclays Premier League position) go forward as Winners to the group stage along with domestic champions, runners-up and third place.
No extra domestic place can be gained by winning the UEFA Champions League, therefore the team finishing fourth drops to the UEFA Europa League

is confusing anyone?

Which part of:

English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.

is confusing anyone?

So IF Chelsea win we would get the extra spot?

Oh keep up!! The good news is Thursday Night is Sh1te Fright Night.. think of all those flights to Stockholm on Sunday night - or missed Mondays at work. That lot will suffer on ticket & merch sales cos of this.

disagree, europe may not be a lot to you but it is to the players and also gives the fans some great experiences to travel around europe.

If were not getting into europe anymore players will start to look elsewhere and play for teams that CAN offer them european football.
