Sky sports the debate transfer window special

Merson gave us a B+ on there window ratings on their website but his whole comments were about how we spent too much on Richarlison and then kept saying how its fine to spend over 60m on keepers. That guys is totally screwed up.
I really enjoyed the part of that article that said we signed Joel Robles on a free from betis. He's a major in you know. I also like how he didn't mention klaasen as a major out despite recouping around 15 mill for him. Quality journalism as usual.

I'm sorry, but we have a song about this - one particular line goes .....

"we don't care what the red side (in deference to filter) say, what the heck (filter again) do we care?"

Now we know, there's gonna be a show, when the Everton boys are there.

You have to take Sky with a pinch of salt, and once you accept that all of their output is skewed to providing an acceptable narrative to the 'big' clubs and essentially peddling their propaganda, then you just ignore it.

It isn't analysis, or journalism, its just templated drivel fed into their mouths as much as our ears.

Everyone on Mersons end of window deals got a B+.

Absolutely wasted 5 mins of my time.

Spends a paragraph justifying how it’s knag for Liverpool to spend £69m On GK, but £40m on Richarlison is a risk.

No mention of BosmanBernard.

Just before us, comments on how it’s a risk to pay £72m for a 23 year old GK, but then says £69m for a 25 year old one is great business.

 stick to the chippy you Meff.

Love how it’s fine to spend £67m on a goalkeeper but god forbid you spend £40m on a young winger. If the roles were reversed, they’d 100% be calling Richarlison a bargain and scoffing at us spending such crazy money on a keeper.

And we care, why? I saw that buffoon Allardyce in the last hour and immediately walked out the room leaving it for my lad to tell me once they’d been announced. For such a great product they don’t half scrape the barrel for thosethey ask to provide expert insight.

Did anyone else watch this tonight? I may be wrong but have they just a whole hour show and not even mentioned Everton at all? This would be bad under normal circumstances but considering the amazing transfer window we have just had it is absolutely scandalous.

Didn't see 'The Debate' but had their coverage on as the window was closing and they all declared Everton 'the winner' of deadline day* and were very complementary of the club's efforts. Alan Myers was reporting from Finch Farm and he did some ridiculous dance when Gomes was announced.

*Not sure where this counts in the honours list but no mention of a trophy...
