The standard is so, so low in these games tho. I mean it's the Championship for a start and it's the playoffs, which are traditionally very tense and scrappy. None of the players in that first half looked like Prem players, including Colemania.

I watched it mate he was ace in the semis not so great in the final - Kyle Walker was ace in the final though!

We need a new right back then, because Neville and Hibbert certainly aren't the answer with there slow, one dimensional approach to anything and everything they do. If Moyes wants to make his system truly effective then he needs to get something similar to what Leighton Baines offers down the right. Especially if Bilyaletdinov is going to play on the right, he needs someone with legs behind him.

Cant say i disagree but i cant see it happening to be honest, with the emergence of Coleman as a talent with potential or the understudy for the other two - there is no way Moyes will priortise the replacement of Hibbert and Neville in the squad - judeging on the big licks he has given both in recent months.

Its all about combination for me with his system rather then one player, Pienaar and Baines just compliment and understand each other superbly. Same cant be said of the right with Billy, Anichebe, Osman is slightly better in terms of dropping deep and offering cover, i thought Donovan and Neville where getting there shortly before the Don left.

The fact that he's likely to be an understudy for both says it all really, he'll be nowhere near the first eleven. We need a player who can put pressure on Neville and knock Hibbert out of the picture all together. If Moyes wants to push on and develop this side then he needs to make some tough decisions, the right backs he currently has at the club aren't good enough, nor do they compliment the side in any way, shape or form. And it's been clear for a good few years now, everyone says it.

And I don't think Neville and Donovan did strike up a partnership, Donovan very rarely come short and was always looking to run in behind teams, whereas Neville was left to do alot of ball work and simply lacks the vision and legs to do it.

I'd give Rodwell a run there before Neville and Hibbert.

Nah, Coleman got the ball off him Mancini-style when it was out for a touch and he was shielding it and pushed him to the ground. Close to starting a fight.

Heaven forbid we could have a little gem on are hands here, were not happy unless were shelling out small fortunes on a player.

Lad has played very little football for Everton, but what he has played has been effective and usually ended with us scoring. Call me strange but his success rate is pretty high.

And I don't give a flying **** about the level of quality in the Championship I really couldn't give a [Poor language removed]. It's about the lad having the confidence to go at a player, and that kind of confidence is very rare, even in the Premier League.

It would make more sense if we didn't have so much success with Baines and Pienarr down the left, but Moyes has yet to really show any serious interest in recreating that partnership down the right.

Can only hope that he does see Coleman as his future rb, got no problem with him learning his trade in the upper ends of the Championship rather than on our bench if he isn't ready to be a starter for us yet.

He's not a stupid man, if he has an option to play an attacking right back, who he feels can do a job then I'm fairly sure he will do.

He may well bring Coleman back into the frame next season (sparks off he's 3 years away from the team comments from the congragation), he may look at bringing someone else in.

But one thing is for sure, he knows the side is unbalanced and he's tried to instil some attacking element into Hibbert and Neville, but there's only so much that can be done with those 2.

Baines is an exception really. Yeah slowy but surely we are getting a more adventerous attacking team but Moyes still has that underlying tendency of safety first, hence 4-5-1 and ending games with 6 or 7 defenders on the pitch.

As for Hibbert and Neville becoming more attacking, yeah looks like Moyes has been trying to improve them but you can't polish a turd!

Given the choice between a hardworking versatile defensive minded player or a tricky talented flair player who would Moyes rather have? Exactly.

Thats why Tony Hibbert has been a regular starter for Everton all these years.
