You say Hibbert does well againt the top 4, did you not see Chelsea rip the back out of him in the Cup Final? Its myth that Hibbert is a good defender.

Anyway, fully fit squad, I doubt Hibbert would make the bench. So lets ride out the injuries then hopefully hes bye bye.

He was poor in the cup final to be fair which was a pity because last season was one of his best for us. About a month before that he was ace against Chelsea ar SB and always had an excellent game up against Ronaldo down throughout the years.

Hw will be here in the coming seasons not a doubt in my mind. Im just telling you all why Coleman wont and shouldnt play on Saturday, not really bothered on who rates hibbo or not.

Well, you can be right and you can be wrong, last season is last season and this season is this season, what is the result we got against Top 4 when Hibbert is RB this season?

Apart from Chelsea we drew, the others end with a defeat, but with Coleman we already manage a draw with Spurs who is currently 4th. Result whilst Coleman got same point as Hibbert if you just count playing top 4 team, but Coleman just had less opportunity.

We have a pretty good idea what Hibbert are like, but isn't it too early to judge Coleman, after-all the games he had played in his natural position, his performance are all positive whether it was base on his defensive duty or include his attacking ability.

My philosophy for defending is "The best way to defend, is to attack" meaning if we could pin them in there half, then they couldn't attack us as much as we are doing to them. This is exactly what all top team are trying to do, and only way to counter it, is by having similar capability, which is why I feel it is important to play Coleman.

Beside no point arguing on whether to start Hibbert in RB against Arsenal, we might not have the choice any way, Hibbert would more than probably not recover for the game any way, so, Coleman would likely start and would prove who is right and who is wrong?

Who doesnt rate Coleman? I rate him highly and i am pretty sure i have seen more of him then most - this is the wrong game for him though and i would play Hibbo if fit. Im all for giving the lad a start not at Arsenal though.

Ok mate if you think the best way to beat Arsenal is attack them - well i think thats ridiclous and a sure way of getting your bottom handed to you, theres an arguement to suggest that may be effective against other teams but not Arsenal.

Anyway id prob start Neill or Neville over Coleman in this one if Hibbo isnt fit. Like i say im not going to convince people about Hibbert there no pointpeople formed their opinons years ago.

His worst game is against chelsea. He was part of the back four in the 6 0 lost to arsenal. So much for top 4.
We are not going into this game to defend for 90 mins. We are not playing against aliens. We'll do a fair amount of attacking and thats when coleman comes in. With hibbert its hoof ane wait for the ball to return to our half. Or just put a man in front when he cross. Easy.
I'm sure Arsene knows about Hibbert weakness and coleman may provide something unpredictable for us.

To be honest mate, i would disagree with almost all that - i dont know where to start.

Poor Tony, hes a decent player, most teams would die for a player like him, sadly we outgrew him as a team years ago. Dont get me wrong, I would never wish to see him leave, but I just feel that if we are to progress, players that are limited, such as Tony Hibbert, Leon Osman, should only ever be back up players.

Sorry Leon and Tony, your both excellent pros, but your just not "next level" players.

Thus when a bright spark such as Coleman comes along, we shouldnt discuss whether he will be able to perfrom against The Arse, we should throw the lid in and stand back and watch.

Take it easy Neiler, I am not saying what I am saying to argue with you or convince you or compare him with Hibbert and I do believe you are a fan of Coleman as well. I was just saying how I feel.

First you agree with Coleman would probably be the future first choice RB for us? Right?

Second you would agree defending against Arsenal would not necessary result in a positive outcome? Right?

Third you would agree Arsenal is never a easy game for us and we had lost to them more often than not over last 7 years playing defensive football against them away? Right?

Then, why not try something different? Playing offensive and pressing football and see what happen?

If he is the future for us, why not give him a try now? Experience should do him no harm, he would know what is require of him against a top side like Arsenal.

I understand what hes saying tho, but hes already had a new arse ripped for him by Benfica and he came back strong after that. Give the lad a chance I say.

We'll probably never agree. :)

Not being aggressive here lads. I want something out of this game and INo Hibbert offers us the best chance. Hey if we get spanked and are three down id bring Coleman on for the expierence.. But his style and strengths wont suit this game. Id give him a start in a couple of weeks or in certian fixtures - he has earned a start, just not against Arsenal were undoubthed world class talents will hand him his backside. Even with that expierence we arent in a postition where we can give up points that easily given our porximity to the relegation zone.

As for Seamie being the long term answer to the RB - well he has shown enough potential to warrent chances in the right circumstamces hes a long way that being certain though. As i say naturally being Irish i woul dlove him to be the next big thing but oblecitively and in the best intrests of the team and proaticularly this game - expierence is needed. This game just wont pander to Seamies strengths.

You're what's known as a self-hating Irishman. Get off Seamus' back FFS!

Coleman shouldn't be an issue to be in the starting eleven it should be a given. Hibbo is struggling for fitness and now would be a great time for a extended runout for the Irish lad.

He could easily be a converted winger in my mind if need be. Width and crossing has been his forte.

You would be to if you gave the world Bono!:P

You're definitely anti-Seamus. You've been calling the lad fit to burn right from the off. Is it one of those Irish feuds...he's from Donegal and people from Munster/Leinster/Whereverster hate their guts?

Best women in Ireland are from Donegal mate, best surfing to and one of the most beutifull counties, Not to mention Super Shay Given and Packie Bonner.

Seamie will be a good one, Saturdays game is all wrong for him though. Anything that may stop us playing Kilbane at fullback has to be a good thing in my eyes.
