Attacking wise and positional sense in attack coleman is far superior hibbert just hasnt got it im afraid its only a matter of time before coleman becomes our regular RB and i will be relieved when that happens im not trying to diss hibbert but he just isnt good enough for what the club is now striving for

You almost made me suffocate. Try using a fullstop once in a while.

P.S I agree wholeheartedly with your post.

Welcome on board, just waiting for this happen, Coleman's natural ability is far better than Hibbert, just by having more pace it already make it difficult for player to get past him completely.

Spurs are know for the attacking ability and they find it difficult to attack down the left-hand-side, since they couldn't find way past Coleman and I don't think his defensive capablility are that much behind Hibbert.

There are alot of example where striker has switch position and become a good defender, because they have attacking sense and therefore know what the attacker are thinking and therefore able to stop them.

Coleman has great attacking sense as well, so with more experience I expect him to be able to do the same against his opponent, so, lets not waste time and give him more playing time and build up his experience.

Why don't we just sing the praises of Coleman without the need to knock Hibbert?
Coleman was bought with the intention of one day getting in the first team or why buy him?
His day will come, but do we have to keep slating another blue to make him look better?

BB mate, it's partly due to moyes stubborn refusal to play him. TD is just giving example to justify playing Coleman.

Moyes is like that a bit ain't he?
He's starting to get his opportunities now though, but I feel he will remain the apprentice for a while longer yet. Same with Duffy.
Duffy is part of the Ireland squad, but doesn't yet get much of a sniff in the first team, even when we had injuries.
Moyes is keen on playing senior players out of position to fix potential problems, but perhaps things might change soon.

It's becoming a sin not to play coleman tbh.
We are all struggling to find an explanation.

You got that right, he basically contribute everytime he comes on and it is what we call taking his chances, yet, if he still choose to not playing Coleman, when Hibbert is out, and others are not fit or not available to play RB.

Yes, then it would be a sin!

Come on Moyes! Do the right thing and play him you won't regret it!

he should be picked before Hibbo and Neill but in Moyes eyes they are higher in the pecking order.

I think the problem is Hibbert and Neill are both very experience player and Coleman need to show he could do it on a consistent basis.

I think after yesterday game he is getting closer, if he is playing Arsenal and Man City and could still provide some deadly crosses in both of them, then player and fans could have no complaint but to allow Coleman a long-run in RB.

If my short term memory serves me right, his debut was a crap game against Benfica, where he was murdered. In his defence, think he played left back, which is not simply the same as playing right back.

It could be that Moyes doesn't trust him as yet, but again if memory serves me right he was played out of position, and when he has played in his proper position he's made a telling contribution.

With Hibbert's hamstring (hopefully) keeping hm out for a few games, it would really be a crime not to play him. You don't buy a 21 year old to put in the rezzies, so I trust that Moyes does see a future for him.

BTW I'm not a Hibbert hater, but competition in any position should be the norm to keep everyone on their toes to ensure they perform at the highest level all the time.

To get experience you have to play. it is a catch 22 situation.

You are right, he was playing out a position and he had no protection from the other experience player because everyone was all over the place.

What's important is how he performance when he is played in his natural position, and I did say it was pretty good against Spurs, Bates & Carlisle.

I agree, and I have been saying the only way he get more experience is by playing him more!

Coleman is clearly ready for some action, now, Moyes, the ball is now in your court, make the right decision would you?
