OK ; Update time ...

NOT FOR THOSE Pro-Landy , ... Cali' / Nelly / Rafuh , etc , I may as well post this , ladies . Don't see the point in a PM,..

Text from S ...

" Landy's cocked himself up with us mate . Moysey's FUMING with him ..."

Closes , Landy book , ... Sick , meself , but I get others aren't too arsed , but I repeat , I'm devoed .

This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds ,...

5 .., 4 .. , 3 ,..

Oh no. Sounds like promises made, promises broken (or no phone call before news broke). Chances of perm deal also go out window. Sigh. Why can't we get anything down on paper? I suspect LD will make inroads to repair this relationship though, based on his tweets alone.

After interview, time to close thread (sob!).

I GET your new , lad , so I'm gonna try an' explain it ...

1; AUTOMATIC OUT-BALL .

2 ; PACE ; THE MOST VITAL COMMODITY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE .

3 ; In games against ALL the Long-term Big 4 , with the exception of Grey Skull - for which I bladdered him , incidentally , HE WAS BOSS , an' was among main reasons for our performances . Esp' Emirates ...

4 ; He DIGS US . Even NOW ....

5 ; He was On-Loan with a view to breaking ALL OF OUR Piggy Banks , later in the year....

Thanks LCAB. Sheesh. Liking a player and talking about him favorably makes other people get upset. Go figure. Oh, and he is America's Maradona, so yeah, we go there. :P

Blue, sure, but he deserves a sunday sermon just as much as Per Krøldrup deserves one.

Meaning, he doesn't.

Should really be a bargain if he'll ever come back, no way Moyes is swallowing pride or cashing out for such a target anyway. Bygones are bygones, peeps!

Now, as for that Chris Eagles thing! I haven't seen the story reported in the news in recent days, but yet it appears in the wikipedia article with the following: "In Dec 2010 Everton were set to offer 2M plus James Vaughan for his services."
The sentence has a footnote to an older article (from last summer, when he rejected a move to rangers), but no real source citing Everton to move for him, which makes me immediately think it as a hoax. Odd, though, to post something like that to Wikipedia - hardly the channel where people look first for rumours, but also a place which often gets updated just one time or before players join new clubs. We had the same thing happen with Ben Arfa, wrongfully, but the wiki page was updated in the case of Heitingas move, and the same with Rafael Van Der Vaart earlier this summer.

Now, the move sounds like a probably one if you ask me - we need his kind of player, and Vaughany is on his way out, confirmed. Maybe i just want to believe it. Eagles signed a contract extension in august (he was to leave in 2011, now staying till summer 2012), but it's a short-term fix and i imagine he'd be interested in an EPL move. For all i know, he's good enough for us.

I just checked the revision history of the article, telling me the sentence was added on the evening of the 20th, meaning on monday at 8pm. The IP address of the person adding this was 90.196.80.215. There has been no earlier revisions on wikipedia for this address.

I know nothing else of how one can trace an address like this in any way, but if somebody knows, go for it, let me know what you find out.

As Han Solo would always say.." I have a bad feeling about this.."

For a while now, Pineaar has been ummin and ahhing over his commitment to Everton and ever since, his days have been numbered at the Old Lady. But I think the impending arrival of Landon would of helped either ease Peanuts' decision to maybe stay or at the least eased Moyes' frustration at losing an attacking midfielder or even balance out that much needed right hand side.

Like us, Moyes must of got out his Big Official Everton calender and crossed out the days of December with a big red marker as the days counted down to January knowing that once his 2011 calender arrived, he'd have to circle the days he'd be with out Cahill, Saha and Anichebe ( through injury no doubt) and possibly Heitinga through negativity.

In a nutshell..Landon has cocked up Moyes Plan B for the second half of the season and when you've got only a few options to chose from, it's bound to upset the apple cart :(

The more this saga draws to a close the more I feel it's time to put a pin in it and move on and just look back at those loveable clips on YouTube of what was and what could of been once more.. But alas, shall be no more ever again :(

I also wonder if Donovan actually knows that now the dust has settled, that despite the big love in from the fans - Moyes is fuming with him and as we all know..when ya upset a Red headed Glaswegian with a short temper..ya straight off the Christmas card list !! *gulp*

Landon Donovan v Seamus Coleman: I'm sure that LD outstrips SC in terms of carrying the ball further at pace, but is he significantly better than him when it matters getting a yard on a defender around the box? I'm no saying LD is not the more complete player than Coleman, but was he that much better we'd blow millions on a loan deal for?

I always though the addition of Donovan would allow Coleman to play right back behind LD, and thus give us a dynamic Donovan/Coleman combo on the right similar to Piennar/Baines on the left. This would essentially put Neville on the bench, as he doesn't add much to the attack. In other words, I never saw Donovan as a replacement for Coleman.

But just like any other non-player acquisition, what really matters is what does Moyes do with the money not spent on Donovan? A striker would be what we all want. Get a striker of equal quality to Donovan and its more than square in my book.

Donovan to be fair has had a very strenuous year and must be both physically and mentally exhuasted, he needs a damn good rest to recharge himself so cannot find fault with him for not returning to us.

For me Dave the answer is no, would prefer to be looking for an out and out striker.

TBH, Rob, that would be my priority. If we have next to nothing I'd stick with Coleman - that flank is at least solid and if we get a forward who actually scores (a novelty I know!) we're in reasonable shape.

LD would have allowed us flexibility. He could have played on the right, on the left or upfront. He's a true professional and what he brings to the table is largely what we are missing.

But we need to move on. He's not coming, and now it appears he never will so let's go find someone who can help us move up the table and qualify for Europe.

Good points mate. Agreed.
