watching iron man 2 was a low for me, but I've never watched Big Brother. I really have no concept of who anyone is on reality tv shows. I'm aware of Simon Cowell though, as he's all over the media for some reason - like he cured cancer or precipitated peace in the middle east.

Thanks! That's my worry too Nels. I spend the match holding my breath whenever someone goes in on him with a hard tackle. I also just worry about muscles/ligaments/etc... He is definitely trying to avoid hard tackles himself - it's noticeable versus earlier in the season.

The Galaxy boards are divided. 1/3 expect him to tough it out (the same 1/3 who don't believe he's going anywhere), 2/3 want him rested. The former flabbergast me. He's CLEARLY zonked. Seriously - at the 85th minute when he was keeled over for several seconds I thought he was going to pass out on the spot or walk over to the bench and demand to be subbed. Instead he put in a solid 9 minutes of defending to seal the win. That's his fitness level.

Get rest LD!

I also love Sprouts - carmelized ones especially. Or with lemon. I'm Californian like that.
Bean sprouts on the other hand - blegh.

No word yet on the rest. We shall see. Schedule: 10/7 Union; 10/16 Rapids; 10/24 FC Dallas. Playoffs start 10/28, Cup 11/21.

If it were up to me he wouldn't be playing until 10/24. The rest of the team who didn't go on loan during the offseason and play in the World Cup need to step it up.

Yeah, I get a chuckle out of the Galaxy boards sometimes. And the injuries I'm worried about are the pulled muscle, abdominal strains or rolled ankle type that come with fatigue. But Bruce will never rest him - unless David tells him to.

And sprouts are delicious. I like them with just a little salt and/or lemon or completely drowned in cheese sauce. Cheese sauce makes everything wonderful.

Let us review:
LD being wanted by a majority of fans and management of a historical EPL team.
The States have never had a great field player and when he returns for good, I hope he changes that.
I cannot wait to see him playing for us again.

Ian Darke is going to be the Voice for all ESPN soccer broadcasts of the EPl matches on Saturday morning and future USA mens games on ESPN through WC 2014.

I never get tired of watching that.

Oh, and big props to ESPN for hiring Ian Darke. He was great during the World Cup and I didn't hear of one USA fan (although I'm sure there were a few) that didn't like him.

He's gonna be a hit here (if he isn't already after calling that USA vs. Algeria match).

I'm always wary of any food that needs to be smothered in cheese sauce. Or covered in a cream sauce. Or fried and served with loads of bacon. Lets face it, fossilised catshit fried in bacon served with salsa and sour cream would probably taste good.

I fully expect those journalists to be hitting this website and this thread come the December transfer window. Just like August.

And I wouldn't believe anything MLS says right now. Senior source my butt. Any wind of LD going anywhere but MLS will be a HUGE damper on the playoffs. Right now LD is an MLS card-carrying fool and that's the line they'll keep until the Galaxy are eliminated from the playoffs. LD in MLS = playoff tickets sold.

What concerned me more was Grant Wahl - he's got connections. But clearly not as connected as LCAB.
