48% isn't that strong in terms of cask strength - some are available at 60% on special bottlings

Be surprised if that was cask strength. Laphroaig is usually 56-58% at cask strength. Think the quarter cask is just non-chill filtered.

Bunnahabhain is by far my all time number one malt.

In any age or bottling, it's liquid gold.

Standard 12 year old Bunnahabhain in Waitrose for £28 at the moment. Free delivery as well I think.

About £45 for the 14 year old last time I saw it. Too pricey for me at the moment. Gorgeous stuff though. Would love a bottle of that on the shelf.
