No need for free bottles - he and his family own more than 50% of a company worth more than £10bn - nice guy though, he plays in the same football team that I play in

Any time you wanna put me in touch with him :)

May get this one in for crimbo: Bunnahabhain 18yo

Now that is an excellent whiskey - funnily enough first time I tasted that was in Beijing - the Chinese love their sprits, although mainly brandy...

I bet he gets a few free bottles at crimbo

48% isn't that strong in terms of cask strength - some are available at 60% on special bottlings

Be surprised if that was cask strength. Laphroaig is usually 56-58% at cask strength. Think the quarter cask is just non-chill filtered.

Some good deals in Sainsbury's as well at the moment. Cardhu 12 £24, Laphroaig 10 £25, Glenmorangie 10 £20, Jura 10 and Jura Superstition £12/half bottle, Dalwhinnie on offer as well but can't remember how much.

Any news on the price of Oban?

Pleasantly surprised by Glenkinchie 12. Nice drink, could be a good one for anyone wanting to break into scotch supping

Just a note.

The current Southern Comfort advert is awesome.

Like a boss

Christ almighty lad. If ever a post deserved a neg it's that!

This is a thread for fine golden nectar, slowly perfected over many years, made with care and attention to detail which follows age old traditions. Nowhere does it embrace rancid sherbet juice concocted in some thick inbred Yankee backwater.
Be off with you man, and do not return until you have learnt the error of your ways!!

I know I know. But I wanted everyone to see the ad. And it didnt deserve its own one. I start enough rubbish threads as it is.
