Makes sense as I think they'd package that honey up ASAP since it's priced like gold.

That's all that matters but that's extortionate for what I mentioned; the scotch/whisky industry is out of control in many ways.
Manuka honey is actually cheap as chips over here (for obvious reasons)! I was never into it in the UK mainly because of the price but it’s absolutely unbelievable the mark up they put on it abroad.

I guess distilling like everything else in the world is another thing to have it’s soul ripped out in the name of money and people who will drop stupid money because they have stupid money.

I just try to buy local stuff as much as I can these days

That's another reason why I was surprised at the cost.

200 NZD so just under a hundred quid-ish
I thought as much...but tbh, not that much ffs.
Not withstanding local excise taxes and and/or GST (VAT to some) $200 puts it waay over my price range.
Which brings me to my other pet peev...

Peev1; Just because you can buy...and even then it's overpriced...top class scottish stuff for $150+ I refuse to pay top class prices for something that hasn't had to be shipped halfway round the world and is made up the road - however good it might actually be.

Peev 2; here in Australia we have the 3rd highest (Norway & Iceland) tax on spirits, 62% goes to the Govt ffs...they all do it, but here Labour have been putting it up every 6mths for 3 yrs:rant:

Hopefully, like the real TARDIS, it's bigger on the inside than the out side
