Should we have bought Pienaar this summer?

Is this thread a joke? Pienaar's been one of our best players over the past 18 months. How many creative players have we got in our team? Maybe 4 at a push Osman Pienaar Mirallas Baines. Considering one of them is a left back that's not many layers who can provide a spark in a match and actually make others play. If Pienaar and OSman are on form we play well, when they're not we struggle to create anything. Other managers know this which is why Pienaar is regularly booted from pillar to post every game. He's suffered from a bit of burn out sure because he's been abused by being playe din every single game. We've had no choice though because the team just doesn't function without him.

He's still a bellend though.

He's actually deleted half his tweets from the last month because he was so rude to people in them. He's also been counting down his holidays since before the Sunderland game

I think some of you are the bellends, so what if the guy is looking forward to his holidays. I wonder how you lot would feel living away from your family, no matter how much you earnt. He's a nice guy and he is a good servant to the club. He played a blinder on the weekend and will do his utmost in the next game.

well said his family is across the other side of the world he probably cant wait to get back to S. Africa after a near full year away our fans expect the players to all have EFC tattoos and break their legs week in week out for the club. His tweet was daft but give the lad a break aslong as he does well on the pitch its all that matters

You can look upto someone who mugs the fans off, drink drives and treats women like dirt but I won't mate.

Class player. You don't drop him as he's crucial to the quality of our football. Always needs to be one of the first names on the team sheet for me. I'm not particularly bothered by those tweets. He's played the whole season and I'd probably be looking forward to my holidays as well, if I was him. He must be tired. For all we know he may be looking forward to going back to South Africa to see family and friends, or anything at all, for that matter. Ridiculous to slate him for that. Calm down.

It's not just that though, it's well before this.

I'll support him while he's wearing blue but he's no Tim Cahill like.

I'd be upset if he didn't have a go back and so would you if you thought about it.
Some fans honestly think they own the players. What is your evidence on him treating woman like dirt?

exactly all we have done this season is look for problems with the players with a bit of arrogance, Pienaar, Mirallas has been slated for his "arrogant" celebration and gold car ffs. Unless one of our players dons a RS shirt or puts YWNA at the end of their tweet calm down BIG boys

Nothing wrong with him counting down the days till his holidays.

Everything wrong with talking to fans like that.

So he puts a season-long shift in, playing really well in a lot of games, being a crucially important part of the team and as soon as he lets on he's looking forward to his summer holiday, he gets someone calling him out for not caring. I'd have probably reacted worse than that, tbh.
