Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Seems more and more that it is a very risky strategy what the club are doing, especially when the alternative could have made the club look stronger and not upset anyone. Are there people who are desperate for him to be manager, or would they have been equally happy with him being applauded without being in charge? The whole 'seeing out his contract' thing cuts no ice with me to be honest, and he can retain his dignity along with the club's. Seems very strange to me, maybe it's a way for Bill to say thanks, and it would be appreciated if everything just remained on the QT....

Exactly.

If Kenwright had just said "thank you and goodbye, David" would there have been a clamour even from the Moyes supporters for an "emotional farewell" as he leads the team for one last game?

Of course there wouldn't.

Everyone would have just accepted his era was over the moment he signed for United.

Because that's the way football works.

Instead we have had a bitter debate about what is happening today and it is all so unnecessary.

Am going today but with 3 mates instead of the family. All like minded Blues that think Moyes is taking the p*ss out of the club. Roll on the match and Moyes can be shown what a mockery he's making of this great club.

This should have been a great day. Duncan in the dugout. Moyes on the pitch later for a wave. God in that sunny scenario I'd even applaud Phil Neville.

Scanning this thread and seeing someone - a Blue - say "United are not our rivals" or another talk about how us playing United's tune will help get us more Google hits. Words fail me they really do. Over my time on here I'd say I've been as level headed as anyone in defending the Board in the face of constant criticism. This issue now of Everton rolling over and getting its arse f*cked by United and the world's media has really opened my eyes.

The whole thing stinks and I hope the rest of Goodison feels the same.

Nine league titles and some weapon wants us to act like Oldham Athletic os someone.........

Come on you Blues and show some heart and spirit.
LOL wonder how he got on, wonder if him and his mates were booing, lol grown men booing

Great send off, thank fk most people have more sense than is being spouted on here of late.
Nothing small time about today.

perfect send off from goody park today, felt like the end, feel a bit weird that moyes will be back for one more game, but would be just him to go and win there now. People fearing about life without moyes need to have seen that game today, moyes has built a great squad for the next manager to step in and hopefully take us to the next level. Any success we achieve hereafter is down to him

So are we agreed that it wasn't small time after all?

We won the game comfortably and gave a brilliant send off to Moyes and Neville. Goodison was at its best today.

No doubt about that, no over the top banners or anything a certain club would do. A simple guard of honour for him and Neville (and Cahill) and a usual, but more emotional, lap round the pitch.

Great avdertisement for the club today any manager contemplating taking the role vacated by Moyes would surely be impressed.
Good team performance 3 points to boot. Quality.
