Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Why shouldn't he be in charge against West Ham and Chelsea? The games won't change our league position, I don't see a reason why David Moyes shouldn't be on the line on Saturday.

Yes they could, we are 5 points ahead of Liverpool with two games left. that's six points to play for. they also have a much better GD and have QPR at home on the last day whilst we travel to Chelsea.

It is a straight forward logical scenario in that the minute David Moyes is announced as United's new manager whilst still under contract at Everton Football Club he should be relieved of his position immediately. He will not have only strung the club along for his own gain for months but also publically shown distain for a legally binding contract and Everton as a club and all it has done for him.

Those who will then want to still stand and applaud him can do so in the comfort of their own living rooms

Ok mate but why should we do better in these games without Moyes as our manager? Not sure if we'd play better under Round or Neville. I think our players are experienced enough to handle this situation and to focus on football.

Knowing our players this situation will be a nice little excuse to underperforme.

LOL at the Moyes haters, well they are usually the same bunch as the Kenwright haters, you can feel the joy in some of their comments. Disgraceful.

Some of us still actually believe our motto should be adhered to.

You clap and cheer a fella who's played us properly all you like.

Small club mentality is not for me.

Yes course he should, he's been a top manager for us for years and we should respect his decision to move on. There should be no hate towards him, it could even benefit us, time for a change, lets see what happens.

I think some people are confusing not wanting him managing us for the last two games and hating him.

Only Evertonians who are complete imbeciles should hate Moyes. That doesnt mean he should still be managing us on sunday though. Its just wrong.

Some bitter comments in here

Where's the bitter?

I'm not saying I hate Moyes. I think he should be given a great welcome when he comes back to Goodison as United boss next season.

Until then the second you agree to manage another rival team you've got to go.

Tell me one other club that has ever allowed their manager to stay on knowing he's already committed to a rival?

Even when players do it on a Bosman to a foreign club it's a bit dodgy.

Let me think back to when our most successful manager left us because he wanted European football. The rumour was that he needed the experience of European football to get the England job. Which he never got.

I don't remember hordes of people outside Goodison having a go at Kendall. I don't remember hordes of people booing Kendall's return to manage us.

Moyes has been good for Everton and we have been good for him, whilst he had his limitations big time by not winning a trophy, he has steadied the ship and gave us European football and trips to Wembley. Good luck and I for one will applaud you on your return, like I applaud many ex players but will also be urging us on to victory against Manu next season.

Are you really comparing David moyes to Howard Kendall?

I don't know if you were about back then but the two don't compare. In any way shape or form.

And back then if Howard Kendall had said he was leaving us to join united his life wouldn't be worth living.

I despair of our fans sometimes.

Moyes managing Everton for two more matches once he´s officially commited to a rival club?

Are you for real? He shouldn´t be allowed near the first team.

That is an excellent point, Ratkiller.

Was a time an Everton manager leaving for United would have led to howls of derision from the Goodison faithful.

Not standing ovations.

Spot on. Some Evertonians really have come down with Stockholm syndrome in a major way

Talks are still going on this afternoon between Manchester United and Everton over the release of Toffees boss David Moyes

that sounds like he's going now.

Hope Bill has told Moyes that

So, if announced whilst still under contract here, then surely there's a little 'compensation' due?

Where's the compo money Bill?
