The new ground means nothing to you? Each to their own, but I'm staggered that any of our fanbase at this moment in time could come out with a statement like that.
The immediate future of the club is entwined with the thing being built and as you rightly state, giving us an opportunity to correct the mismanagement of our finances.
I'm a season ti.cket holder that would 100% stay at Goodison.

Knocking GP down just to sell more corporate tickets is an absolute travesty.

No matter how shiny and good it looks it will be [Poor language removed] compared to GP.

Not sure its just to sell corporate tickets, but if we want to get back where we should be in the top echelons of football we need to increase revenue.
Its sad with GP getting knocked down, it has so much history and good memories but we need to move forward. I for one am tired of obstructed views and poor facilities at GP....maybe we could have redeveloped but its time to move on. Im well excited about BMD, 21st century facilities and hopefully the start of a new historical and trohpy filled new age! COYB!

Football is [Poor language removed]. The only way we get to the upper echelons of football is if we become state owned unfortunately.

Even then we'd still mess it up!

Goodison Park is a relic. It’s right it is replaced with a stadium fit for the modern world.

State owned seems to be one way, but im not convinced its sustainable without a long term strategy. No one will just endlessly pump money into a bottomless pit....the oil money will run out one day. At some point the figures need to stack up and that comes with winning stuff and CL football....we are well off.

Anyone think there might be something a bit fishy going on in terms of who may be getting the golden ticket in terms of season tickets?

I wouldn't put it past the club to be offering them out to friends/family of people in high up positions at the club with it being the last year and all that! Even holding seats back for 'competition winners'
97% renewal seems very very high to me, even with the obvious trend of people just renewing even if they dont intend to go/share the ticket out/keep it in the family
Judging by the number of people at certain away games that I’ve never seen before (particularly Fleetwood this season and derby games) there is definitely some friends and family business going on.

Out of the clubs that have built new stadiums, who's actually improved?

Possibly only Leicester, but suffered 2 relegations first.

I don't think there's much evidence to suggest it will bring us success and there's probably more evidence to suggest we will decline.

Hope I'm wrong.

Brentford have done amazing but happy accident that it opened the same summer they got promoted.
Fulham have a nice new stand for corporates.
Somebody else built a really big stand but I forget the name.

You're right, not many have done so well out of it lately.
