Season ticket renewal

I think the club like season tickets as its guaranteed revenue at the beginning of each season. IMHO i dont think the waitlist is due to the low number of match tickets available to members and general sale. I think its purely down to the last few seasons at Goodison and the new stadium move. Certainly not related to the quality of football on show over the past few years....
As a member i have always managed to get a ticket when ive wanted one, as long as i get in when the window opens, even though sometimes its not the best seat.
Most people pay it off with a monthly direct debit

'Alternatively, supporters can apply to finance their Season Ticket and repay the credit on a 12, 11 or 10-month payment plan, provided by Premium Credit.'

Its a credit scheme so the club still get the money and i suppose someone is subsidising 'premium credits' fees.
To be honest not sure how it works, last time i had a season ticket i just paid up front.

It's still guaranteed income though, however you pay it. It rules out the possibility - however remote - of having 20,000 unsold tickets for games.
Looked at it a bit more, premium credit pay EFC the full cost of the season ticket up front and then the DD is paid direct to premium credit to pay of the debt. So i would say very helpful for EFC to budget ahead for the next season knowing most of their ticket revenue is secured and in Bills bank account along with Arteta and Gordon money.....

I’m after one season ticket… I’ve been on the waiting list 5 years and just had another expected rejection… heard a few rumours things are rigged and I’m starting to believe it !!

Yes the club get their money up front . It's like when you buy a car on finance the dealer gets paid and the car is the property of the finance company until you pay it off.

Perhaps the club knowing that the games will be sold out regardless didn't bother reallocating the whole amount of season tickets to the waiting list. Even the most expensive ST works out to be £35 per game, the club will easily bag £50 for single game tickets (+43%).

I know across 1000 tickets it isn't a great deal of cash but every penny helps in crisis.

Yes, thats a good point. Totally the clubs perogative. Would be interested to hear if anyone got tickets from the waitlist.

Being over a certain age my ST is very cheap. On the odd occasion I don't go , the club refund me about £17 and sell it for £50
