15 Years of Failure

I like Seamus. As an Irishman, he's been a great ambassador for us in the most Irish city in the world outside of Ireland. But he's won nothing and personified the competent mediocrity that has inundated this club for 30 years. Not his fault, of course - but he's not worthy of such adoration. Frankly, this kind of thing isn't much removed from giving a standing ovation to a subbed Thierno Barry when he's stunk out the gaff one more time.

£ for £ one of the greatest signings the club has made in the PL era.

I tend to dismiss the noise from his detractors - who can be fitted into a phone box very comfortably it has to be said. They're the type of people who if they were around at the end of Peter Reid's career as a player at Everton would have been booing him as well...maybe they were and did.

Anyway. Let's hope we see a few more games from him in blue they season. The lad gets a free hit at this club for me given his service on AND off the pitch.
