Coleman has been good this season but if Moyes throws a 20 million bid in for him and we've someone lined up in background, it may not be as crazy as it sounds? It will be interesting to see what happens ;-)

He's been absolutely superb so far this season and was good at the end of last season.

He's never going to be 2012-15 levels of attacking again, and even in his resurgence in 2016-17 before that injury.

But defensively he's excellent. Never gets done for pace, always gives himself time.

He's also a leader for us, by example and he's starting to grow in terms of getting into refs etc - something probably helped by the quality around him.

Talk of selling him is insane and he isn't going anywhere anyway.

If we get a good offer for Kenny and someone is lined up then that's fine; Coleman has made himself first-choice. It's just a long season and if we can have someone with more legs/pace than Kenny, that's going to help.

Who's lined up? Are you brain damaged? We start playing well and we'll offload one of our better players? Here's a better idea. We got Rodriguez on a free, let's sell him to Man City for £50m and make a profit.

He has lost his starting place to Matt Doherty in the Ireland team for the last two games.I think this would have hurt him,he always gives 100% to Ireland. But i reckon Doherty taking his starting place can be good news for Everton. He needs to perform consistently at club level if he wants to displace Doherty as Irelands right back. Not only has he to impress Ancellotti,he also has to convince Stephen Kenny to pick him ahead of Doherty.

Coleman's reformation - you can't but help love football.
While parts of his game are on the wane he's more then making up for it.
He's not going to out sprint, over distance, the young and speedy left sided opp players.
But he can, and is, still brilliant within the 15m radius - lower centre of gravity, great dribble and touch in tight spaces, guile, vision and experience to read the game.
And he knows when and where to shift across the backline, like the way he cleaned up after Doucoure v Zaha, in what was probably the telling moment of the match.

Of course this wouldn't be happening if he was still playing under Silva, a true club man would've had to be put out to pasture.
But with Carlo a different game is being played, coincidentally or on purpose it matters not, the game is now being played to his strengths.
He fits in well to the tempo that Rodriguez plays, they compliment each other and together they can control the pace and purpose of play down the right.
with Alan or Doucoure providing the ballast to this partnership.
No doubt Carlo has the knack, the vision to draw this out. But it also comes from Seamus own timing and instincts. Its such a pleasure to see him play with confidence and assuredness again.
In his element, he has made some spectacular dribbles over the last couple of games.
The assist against Palace - the timing, when to exert strength and drive, the balance, the sublime touches under pressure, the initiative, the instinct, the vision to take the exact and only moment to pass through the defenders - was sublime. If that had been Salah or Greenwood we wouldn't stop hearing about it.
What a man! What an Irishman! What a Blue!
Thanks Carlos, Thanks James, its good to have the real Seamus back again.

Is it reformation or just better management and the confidence it brings? All the players looked lost for the last 12-18 months and our fans are always giving it "not good enough" etc. Now players like Keane, DCL, and Coleman are playing for a proper manager and it shows in their attitude and belief.

Correct. A lot of pragmatism has gone out of football, and a lot of people are obsessed with 'philosophies' and systems. But you know what, there's no substitute for playing players to their strengths, winning matches in the here and now, and building some momentum, because momentum can be a massive thing; just ask our 84 team.

Carlo is getting the best out of players, and long may it continue.
Personally, I'd be loathe to make any unenforced changes to any team that had won 3 league games on the bounce.

Well, we don't really have the players to make any positive changes unfortunately. We need another 2 or 3 imo.

Probably renaissance the better word.
Sure its better mgt. This is what real mgt looks like.
But its the players as well. They've still got to have the strengths to play too.
Its having players like James and Alan that get the best out of others as well.
Its why there's such concern now for Pickford because his position is vital in all this.

Silva was a joke of a manager. I hope he goes on to see the light.
But the way he tried to make players fit into his playbook without the means or will of the players to deliver it just meant they played worse not better.
How do you get behind some of the football that was played. It was brutal.

Gomes' ball was here you go lad. Seamus works out the play.
Simple play, beautifully and confidently executed, Seamus, Doucoure and James seizing the moment.
There's a slow mo angle not shown on the highlights, that shows Seamus had a lot more to do than it looks.
Thats him in Carlo's world, not Silva's. Confidence, belief, trust give you poise, balance, time and sharpness you would otherwise not have.
If you've got it in the first place.

He was there with Baines, Cahill, Arteta, and after all the [Poor language removed], he now gets to play with James and Doucoure and do his thing again.
Just stoked for him.
If he was a new signing we'd be raving about what he's been doing.
