Seamus Coleman isn't up to it.

he doesn't ever cross!! doesn't matter where he plays (rb or rm), he never beats his man, and he never gets a cross in. i put up stats earlier in thread (cba finding them again), that he simply doesn't get balls into the box. hibbert, bily and baines (all the other wide players) all put in more than double the crosses he does. he hasn't got a first touch, very rarely beats a man (when he does it is generally down to luck) and never gets his crosses in. not good enough and i still cant believe hibbert is getting stick...

He puts in 4 undeflected crosses on that and only 2 of them hit his target. Not very good for a highlight video of over 2 years.

And YouTube made Bily and The Straq look boss.

2 minutes you mean. No he ain't a world beater, but he DOES get crosses in and DOES beat his defender a lot of the time, a lot more times than Neville or Hibbert. The other problem is that he is invariably going to be compared with what Baines does on the other side, which is never going to be favourable. But he's our best option on the right at the moment, and people shouldn't lay into him if he doesn't have a particularly good game one week.

No, I meant the 2 year demographic that the video can draw from.

He very rarely gets a cross in and when he does it's a straight, floated ball behind the attacker.

Barkley?

I'm not basing the thread or any opinions only on the game against Arsenal. I've been thinking this for about a year.

But you wouldn't have posted it after his excellent game against Wolves would you ?
Coleman deserves to start before Bily as he looks twice the PL player than he does despite costing a fraction of the price.
Rarely gets a cross in ? I repeat, he gets a lot more and better crosses in than either Neville or Hibbert.
The video was to counter the post above which said that he NEVER crosses, FFS. Don't use it to bash Coleman even further.

Probably not no, because then wouldn't be the time as we were happily celebrating a win.

He does deserve to be in over Bily Agree.

But I seriously don't get where you're coming from saying he gets more and better crosses in than Hibbert or Neville.

Hibbert's crosses are poor but Coleman's are dire. I can't remember the last time he put in a good swinging ball?

Hibbert's crosses often hit the first man, but when they don't that means they swing in at a good angle. Coleman either hits the first man or just floats them up to go over every head/into the keeper's hands.

I wish people would lay off our players FFS. It's doin' me head in. On top of all the manager/board/tea lady bashing there's nothing left for me to still love about EFC. :(

Not saying you mate, but it's easy to say 'lay off our players' and 'people need to be more positive and get behind the team' when they live thousands of miles away and don't pay hundreds of pound a season to sit watching absolute dross.

Out of position, in a struggling team with no movement ahead of him and the dreaded second season syndrome. He needs to be rested or played as a wing back but with the small squad we have, that isn't going to be able to happen anytime soon.

He does step overs, he's 20. I like him.

I think he's been sussed as a winger. But when he's running with space and direct, he's awesome IMO

Which is why I can see him slotting into right back maybe next season because, like baines, he needs space to run into to be effective.

Can't see it happening under moyes but if we were more attack minded, he'd do well at fullback

I don't think distance has much do do with it. There are many (most I would think) who go to every game and have a 'get behind the players' attitude. There are also many who sit behind their keyboards many miles away and take swipes and digs at our players and team while sitting on their barstools. It works both ways. Anyway I'll be at the Norwich game on Saturday getting behind the team.
