It's not irrelevant to the point at all...it's totally relevant on how it would be presented to the people. I don't know how it would be worded...I would have to examine the precise wording of the second ref and then give an opinion on the outcome.

It is completely irrelevant to a hypothetical situation. The point is the aftermath of a particular outcome. But, as you wish.

You're talking about hypothetical situations. We know the outcome after the last vote which the out campaign was riddled with misinformation.

You give me your wording on a second ref then we can discuss this further...

The concept seems lost on you. Of course it's hypothetical, my original question was hypothetical seeing as it was about unknown events yet to happen with unknown qualifiers.
If you don't want to answer hypotheticals then you shouldn't have responded, simple as. Though you seem to want a second referendum I can't fathom as to why you wouldn't want to answer.

Yep, I would like a second ref.

Now, what was your question again? What if the outcome was the same?

Give me how YOU would word a second ref then I can answer your question....:coffee:

It doesn't matter really does it? This pedantry shouldn't have an.influence on how you would react to a further leave vote. There could be 2, 4 or 15 options and all worded differently, if one was 'leave the E.U.' and that had the majority return, you posted that ' The people will speak with all their freedom and knowledge this time and come to the right outcome.'
I'll ask again, what if the outcome was the same, a majority vote to leave, what then?

Rubbish. Irrespective of the wording, if Leave won again, what happens next......another vote???????

Of course it matters how it is worded. Do you want to go to basics with this?

Let's just see how the second ref is worded and the outcome then we can continue with this....you don't think people will vote for a no deal second time around do you? When all the Japanese car plants are closing down and we have nothing to export to the rest of the world???

How about “would you like to leave the EU, but maybe not, but still maintain the closest possible relationship while not taking part in an ever closer union, but accepting every law that the EU produces, while still being part of a trading partnership that accepts the four freedoms and ensures that the U.K. is part of the new EU army”

That should be a doddle ......

All joking apart. I do have a very strong belief in helping others. It’s just the way it happens that sometimes differs.....

You got a very, very strange way of showing it...for instance you would be grateful for an NHS ambulance if you got run over tomorrow yet you want out of EU and all the car plants to close leading to mass unemployment therefore no tax returns to pay for NHS ambulance...

But I don’t believe that will happen. And indeed it won’t. When we are out, our economy will grow faster and even more jobs created and even more tax money available.......

What makes you think all car plants will close ? If we stop buying Nissans because they've upped sticks to Japan , other car makers will see it as an opportunity and a gap to fill . Less competition
