I can well imagine. Which makes it bizarre that anyone would want or suggest that a future generation should experience similar standards.

They won’t. Every year things just get better and better. The only thing that will undermine this progress is a nuclear war or a Corbyn government.....

Household debt in the country at an alarming level
Far right parties on the rise in Europe
Life expectancy stalling for the first time since records began in the UK, and actually decreasing in some parts
Global (man made) warming causing droughts, wars, ruining the environment and depleting natural resources which will lead to more wars

A 8 year spell of Cameron and Osborne.......after the world banks crashed, and they used their ideology of austerity- yes there had to be cut backs , but not on their scale, and also a law in the UK that bankers who were currupt instant jail......would have been better!

What I don't understand about this is if you had it so bad and you managed to succeed in spite of the circumstances that you had to overcome, and you clearly feel it was as you wouldn't go to lengths to describe how bad it was; why do you want other people to endure it as well?

There is something really odd about wanting the next generation to have it as tough as you..

Not sure you read my post properly. Nowhere did I say that I want other people to endure it as well. As Harryflashman says, I want the best for my children and grandchildren and everyone else's. My post acknowledged that today's youth have 'different problems' but the solution is the same - hard work.

Pay of the problem with this is that things branded as 'project fear' are happening now and will happen post Brexit.

It's not so much project fear as project educated assessment.
