I don't get why Rangers keeps getting compared to celtic this season as a marker of failure. Celtic have won all but one game so far this year so no club would come close, let alone one just promoted from a lower division. So i do not get why Warbuton has had a turbulent season or has exactly failed if they find themselves in 2nd, even if they did spend more than the rest of the league so to speak they still are a newly promoted club.
Your right but me thinks something isn't right in govan
Still getting full houses in the league
Decent in the cups
It's a new-co so debts shouldn't be relevant
I know the TVs money isn't great but still
Where's the cash going?

True but instead of two giants dominating we've got just one team shooting fish in a barrel every year.

Not really

Aberdeen have actually challenged them twice, whilst other teams have managed to win cups

It's only since Sinclair and Dembele that Celtic have really started smashing people, and that's with Rangers back in the top flight

And ultimately all of Rangers wounds are self inflicted by botching the chance to develop their own players from League Two upwards

This. Yes Celtic have dominated the league. But the football is still competitive.

What the league lacks in quality (due to next to no TV money, makes up for in competitiveness. 9 teams have won trophies the past 6 years. Hibs, Hearts, Dundee united, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, Inverness and Ross county. The first 3 have won 2. About 5 or 6 other teams have been in finals. Some more than once. Rangers have been the architects of their own downfall and also making a mess of their comeback.

Tonight also proves that Aberdeen are by far the 2nd best team in Scotland. 7-2 agsinst Motherwell. 3 points clear in 2nd place and a goal diffence of +19 on 3rd place.
