I've been at most of the games this season and theres definitely a lot more to be positive about, and as you know mate i say it the way i see it without any bulls- -t

As has probably been made clear I can't stand Gerrard and it probably clouds any attempt at neutrality.

That being said, if he and Rangers are serious I'm not sure it can be a quick turnaround. He looks to have got younger players in and at the level he is coaching at most of them could learn a lot from Gerrard. Tried to get Denny from us and I think he will make a big effort to get young players from England. It's worked well for Celtic and probably only the Old Firm have the pull and financial clout to do it.

Rangers look to have gone through managers like confetti. It doesn't make sense for them to bin Gerrard quickly. That being said I won't stop laughing at him!

Been here done that of course as U21 assistant /manager before Unsworth, and Bill famously interviewed him for the Manager’s job that Martinez got ....... so yeah he’s coming back. I thought he did well during his time at Hibs, then poor choices to go to Rotherham and St Mirren where expectations where greater than their resources after one good season.

He should have stayed at Hibs. He was a legend there after ending that trophy drought. He had Hibs playing some nice flowing football and he should have bided his time for the Celtic job.

Lots of people thought so but he never won promotion with Hibs.

And he had to leave Easter Road for family reasons.

Just seen Fraser Hornby on tv training with Scotland’s u21, although the bit was really about 17 year old wonder kid Billy Gilmour who Chelsea pinched from Rangers. Scotland are developing some decent players at u21 level, bodes well for the future .
