Throwing this out there: If Celtic played down here would they be the biggest challengers to the current (God forgive me for using the term) "top six"?

I think so.
I tend to agree Dave, I think they'd give it a heck of a go...
One thing about Celtic is, as a club, they always try to play football, rarely do you see them play hoofball even when up against top European opponents.

Not sure. I reckon they would do pretty well at home but could struggle away against us or even the likes of Burnley and Southampton...

At this moment in time we have a fairly weak league betond the 6 who have secured those spots in recent seasons. A weakness would be pace in the middle of thr park: Brown might frighten the life out of Rangers etc but he;d be left standing down here - and he's the heartbeat of Celtic.

They'd be up for every game and that coupled with the lightweights of our PL beyond the top 6 clubs would hand them 7th or even 6th.

Rangers have improved and getting into European group stages is actually quite impressive given how rubbish they've been. But the gap is still massive and I'll be shocked if they get within 10 points. Can see it being nearer 20.
