Yes he was garbage wasn't he...especially when I watched him at West Ham when he fluked two goals. That must be why he went to the World Cup ahead of Ashley Cole too.
he was poor last season one game doesnt make a season and basically that was his contribution for the season, and his form has carried on from were he left off

What form "where he left off."....for England do you mean...who the hell did play well there ?? If you read the subsequent posts yesterday, I agreed with someone else that he'd had a poor season by his standards. Evertonians don't generally write off their best players because of an indifferent pre season. Ive seen enough of them over the years not to regardless.

To be completely fair, Baines was quite "meh" last season bar the odd decent game. Oviedo before his injury looked twice the player.

Not writing him off like but he wasn't stellar by any stretch of the imagination.

That's right. And as Ive said a few times, by his own standards he was poor. This fella in criticising throughout yesterday was saying Baines, had lost it though. Not the same thing. Ive got a lot of time for Oviedo and the competition for places can only be good for the team.

Just back from an absolute nightmare of transport(rail and road) delays all over the show. Great to see most away fans enjoying the craic. To the plonker who chucked the pint at the photographer on the pitch to the guy standing behind me and my kids doing a fn deal for some charly at half time, ITS JUST NOT ON FFS. the game it self best forget it .

dear-oh-dear. And German fans sometimes ask me if the bad rep of English fans is justified.

Paderborn midfielder Moritz Stoppelkamp steals the show with an 83-metre wonder goal in stoppage time, setting a new Bundesliga record, in a 2-0 victory over Hannover.

83 metres ?!?!!
