The correct response to someone saying I'm gay should be no one cares, same as if someone announced they were straight.
First Damo now Ash losing the plot.
GOT has been Tilted today, that's for sure.
Are you against free movement or minorities?
He'd rather just keep them all penned in the same place.
Like a camp.
For gay people.
I know you want me to say something actually homophobic but sadly you aren't getting it.
So what is exactly wrong with what I say? What difference does a giant event like a festival thing compared to them having a parade make?
There are plenty of other 'groups' who don't appreciate the attention as they see it the way it is, shouldn't be special attention.
It's not just that though is it.Because it is highlighting a factor that shouldn't be a factor. Shuts down a city for a day to basically say look at us.
A giant event that celebrated it instead still has the same effect without doing that. It would he a nice staple in the calendar. Would go down with the family to it, live music and stuff without forcing the point of sexuality which would be far more effective than trying to get people to notice. The Sunday this year is exactly what I mean, had a walk round it and it was good fun, just a nice atmosphere and nice day out. Do that on a bigger scale instead.

So a parade is better?Because a lot of gay people may feel unsafe walking through the centre of a major city holding hands and this is a chance for them to do so - something most take for granted.
It's not just that though is it.
In reality it's celebrating the freedom of sexual expression, stepping away from the repression of the past and celebrating that people can be who they want to be.
Why can't it be done through a parade? And as I said holding a festival rather than a parade is much more effective in doing that. Rather than having a giant thing which forces people to look at , have an event where anyone of any background can be in that atmosphere where again they can be themselves as the day or weekend is about them but but anyone can be a part of.
The issue as you say is feeling comfortable , what I suggest is a much better way for them to do thst.
But when the city is shut down for it then it exactly is doing that. Why can't it be done through a parade?
No one is forced to look at anything...
All of these things are accomplished through pride parades.

You can't guarantee anything mate. But when the city is shut down for it then it exactly is doing that.
Pride parades achieve nothing in terms of equality because how can they? No one suddenly becomes less of a bigot on the subject because they had a parade about it.
But I can guarantee a big event where people can intermingle and enjoy themselves would change far more minds when they realise it makes no odds on the subject.
Harold Shipman was just trying to solve the pension crisis.
The NHS should adopt his methods.
Save the taxpayer billions on drugs and care costs.

If sex with young boys was good enough for the Ancient Greeks then who are we to turn our noses up at it?
Find it in your heart Damo you robotic red.
Why can't it be done through a parade?
It's an old skool beginning to the weekend on GOT where you wake up to loads of hysterical guff with lids pretending to be outraged and heads falling rolling past like a bowling alley.First Damo now Ash losing the plot.

I'd argue that the more people that get the message the better. But when the city is shut down for it then it exactly is doing that.
I'd argue that drawing people's attention to the issue and increasing awareness has done a hell of a lot for equality over the yearsPride parades achieve nothing in terms of equality because how can they? No one suddenly becomes less of a bigot on the subject because they had a parade about it
