Klassen hasn’t played well enough to justify a place in the team though.

I hope he plays vs Atalanta though. When you consider he was captaining Ajax to the Europa league final last season he must be better than what we’ve seen so far.

I refuse to judge Klaassen on what we've seen so far. Others should too.

For crying out loud, if we started Barry, Macca, Schneiderlin etc on a flank/wing it wouldn't work so why would we tolerate it if it was Klaassen. Sure he is a different player to those other 3, but still should be played centrally with some pace out wide.

His style is literally ideal to complement Sandro, Bolasie and Coleman and would probably even help Gylfi or Rooney with his short passing and space creation.

Remember when Bobby obssesed with playing Tom Cleverly out wide? Well, this isn't that different. Except unlike Cleverely, Klaassen can pass. Play him in the correct spot a couple of times then judge.

And yes we dont have the luxury of "experimenting" given our situation. But Snides is injured, Davies hasn't been to flash this year at all and Davy hasnt started in position once. Play him as a 7 with three forwards. Start playing to the qualities our team has, and implement a strategy rather than just putting guys on a park and hoping like RonKo did.

Klassen cost 5 times as much and has been horrific. Sigurdsson cost 8/9 times as much and has been horrific, both players have been given much more of a chance to prove themselves as well.

That leaves Beni, Gana, Davies and Klaassen. Two of which can play. Beni and Gana we wont move forward with, so logically that leaves one of Davies or Davy that should start? No?

Indeed, though I feel people need to lay off including Martina in that list. He's not even a footballer so shouldn't be compared with the others.

Nine of these guys play the same game. Klaassen is a box to box mid, so he's nothing like the rest of those guys. Gylfi is a playmaker, he's not a striker, whereas the other two are forwards.

In the old days they would all be called inside forwards.

To make it simpler for you..are they defensive midfielders = no. Can they tackle = no Can they play centre-forward =no Can they play on the wing = no

They are attacking midfielders and/or they play off a centre-forward.

I'm not talking about price. The likes of Keane, Sigurdsson and Klaassen are just run of the mill jarg players, whereas Sandro looks like he's never played 11 a-side before.

We should try Lookman at left full back and blame him for errors that occur there.
