I actually feel Sam was a victim of his own success in a way.

Had he saved us and got us 15th or 16th, he would have gone anyway, but faced nowhere near the level of vitriol as he has in finishing 8th because a certain section of fans want to ensure he cant justify staying on.
Success 19th in the league for shots on target also the woodwork and soft pens helped him in dire performances- my family source was spot on over a month ago Moshiri had enough of the dire football!
TBH any half decent manager would have done a better job goodbye to hoof ball.....
The new guy will know the standards the supporters want now!

Wonder if there will be even fewer British managers in the league next season? 12 of the 20 managers were from overseas this season’s end.

I think the over dependence on foreign talent is pretty sad, in the context of the history of our game.

Please no Silva. At least try Everton or we will be in the same mess 6 months from now
What does that mean mate? You think anyone with CL ambitions would even contemplate Managing the shambles Everton right now?
In my opinion as we stand now as a football club, we need someone young with something to prove, back him with the resources and a transfer budget, and hope to God we don't get another Koeman.

It means what it means. Chasing a flavor of the month. I'm not asking for Pep or the like, I'm asking for due diligence and someone who can take us forward. Not someone who led Hull to relegation and started losing games with Watford after a short flash of wins.

Such as? Fonseca? He appears to be preferring West Ham (if we were in fact after him). Great ambition that.
Happy for someone better than Silva, but who exactly?

Still not gone lads, looking like he's definitely staying now. Kevin Davies up front with Bolasie providing the deadly crosses next season, Rooney the playmaker behind them and Schneiderlin snapping into tackles dominating the midfield, Jagielka and Keane marshalling the defence. Get in, easy get 8th again.

8th is the new 7th.
