The chap commentating on Match of the day even said that Sam said he was winning the supporters over, no sort of "not from what I am hearing today"response, unless it was edited at that very second.
I just laugh now at how biased they are towards their old boys.

If you listen long enough it’s the same people on over and over again, they always seem to agree with the presenter. Take the Rooney part and Rangers, they had no Rangers fans on just Celtic fans. The whole show is fake to get a rise out of fans
I listened for ten minutes mate. That was quite enough.

Agreed, but he`s either he knows that he`s staying / believes that he`s staying or popcorning the fans for the sake of it.
If his job wasn’t under threat would he be on the radio every week, I don’t think he would, he having to come out and get backing off these ppl to try and save face for when he gets the boot.

It's a bid odd that Peter Reid hasn't put his thoughts forward, apologies if he has and I missed them, seemed vocal against RK and didn't exactly support DU, you would think he would be one of the first requested for an opinion or is it just that they are mates.

Or, he could refuse to take part, and fuel rumours that something is happening.
He's the master of his art.
I think he rang them as Jim hadn’t mentioned he was coming on before he did, thought when they where talking about Rooney he would have said

Yep I've recently read Reid's autobiography (crap by the way) and he talks up Big Sam as one of his oldest and best mates in the game.

I`m not so sure now, having just listened to that interview.

If the club were giving him the boot at the weekend, surely they`d keep him off the radio and stop him from playing the wounded soldier.

Well they might wanna wait till seasons ended a few days? No way they’re keeping him mate knowing the hatred.

He is desperate to control the narrative. If he was confident in his job , he wouldn’t care what the fans think he never has before. The fans are inconsequential to him.
His only way to lobby Moshiri , following a clearly vague and non- commital ‘clarification’ meeting is through his chums in the media.
He’s already swinging in the breeze.
