well that surly gave a balanced view, then again heard people on radio Merseyside on the way home from the match backing him after watching that tripe on Saturday, Jim would probably had all the pro Sam callers put through to back their opinion up
As with all phone ins, they aim for for biggest wind up factor. Callers are vetted first, to obtain their views.
We tend to notice the callers with opposite views more, as we want to go on a killing spree.
It's basically so it pisses everyone off, and they can sit back laughing their plums off.

The biggest problem of course, is when you have a show like talk sport. Full of ex pros and hangers on. They're very careful about anyone in the clique taking a battering.

He`s got his money whether he stays or not though ?

If they do pull the trigger, he`ll be able to walk away as the victim though, as his mates in the media seem to think he`s the messiah.
and that's what he wants. He get's his 6million, doesn't have to work and can claim the moral high ground and all his mates in the media appear happy to peddle that narrative. I can't think of another manager who would call up a radio show in the middle of the day to defend him self. It's pathetic.

As the chairman sat watching a shocking last home game of the season, and listening to chants of “[Poor language removed] off Sam Allardyce”, do you;

A) Part amicably with him at the end of the year, pat him on the back for keeping us up, and appoint someone ambitious and exciting.

Or

B) Keep him around for another year, risk full blown rebellion from the fan base, and effectively write off another season where we aim to be, at absolute best, 7th.

Over to you Farhad.
Farhad would like a bit more detail on option B please.

I have no problem with people/supporters supporting Sam that's their right/opinion, just couldn't believe that you would phone a radio station after watching Saturdays final home game and give him backing.

That's my point mate, they may only be a tiny minority, and they need sectioning, but theyre pushed to the front of the queue on phone ins
Anyone who goes against the grain, be it ex pros or callers, are quickly put down. It's so much cooler to not have a bad word said about anyone, especially one of their chums.

Saturday’s after match antics tells all we need to know. It’s just “when “ the board decide not if...

I`m not so sure now, having just listened to that interview.

If the club were giving him the boot at the weekend, surely they`d keep him off the radio and stop him from playing the wounded soldier.

The chap commentating on Match of the day even said that Sam said he was winning the supporters over, no sort of "not from what I am hearing today"response, unless it was edited at that very second.

If you listen long enough it’s the same people on over and over again, they always seem to agree with the presenter. Take the Rooney part and Rangers, they had no Rangers fans on just Celtic fans. The whole show is fake to get a rise out of fans

How are they going to stop him from going on the radio? They can ask him but they can’t stop him
