Sam Allardyce will leave Everton within 24 hours

Pretty sure my cat armed with a copy of the Everton 2017 squad picture could have saved us from relegation this year, and he would have been far far less of a knob about it.

Finally a break in the never ending madness that has been Everton 2017/18.

The Tottenham fan said where we came from. We were 9 points behind Spurs, not 10 points adrift at the bottom.

...but 6 points off the bottom of the table!

You would think he was the only manager who could have got us into the position we finished in.

Yet no one else seemed to want to, apart from Unsworth who had a miraculous change in tactics and gameplan as soon as SA turned up.

It's more than a little delusional to think like the way the fanbase have - it's hardly like Allardyce replaced Koeman by ruthless preference - things went pear-shaped and the team was a mess. SA came in and managed to finish one place below Koeman's highest finish, with a 14 game handicap!

State of the comments on the BBC, saying we should be grateful for Allardyce because he saved us from the drop. As if they'd be saying that if he managed their teams. I like not cringing in shame at Everton, thanks.

I am hoping that the new manager will be somebody high profile not previously mentioned. At least that would answer the media suggesting that Sam was as good as Everton could hope for as a manager. I don't think Silva or Fonseca will do that.

Unfortunately the perception that Everton supporters have of their club and the perception that the media have of Everton are poles apart.

We feel that we are one good appointment away from being a top team again and the media sees us as no more than a mid table premiership team with ambitions that are unrealistic.

I have recently looked at all the Everton managers that have been at the club since I started supporting around 1969/70 and so many were just very ordinary. Even Howard Kendall did not look like an ambitious appointment at first. He really was the only frog that turned into a prince in about twenty odd appointments. I think that Joe Royle also probably fits into that category as well.

Just for once I would like to appoint a manager that will have the media talking about us positively instead of asking if Silva or Fonseca will keep us safe in the division.

I may be obsessed with media reaction but unfortunately it is important in football today.

I, for one, would like to thank Mr Allardyce for all he has done for our great club. I'd like to, but that would be a lie, and lies make Baby Jesus cry.

Enjoy Dubai Sam, or don't, or whatever.

The funny thing is Sam will be made up tonight, probably unable to sleep thinking how he's going to invest his next 6m the club will be giving to him. What a life.

We were lucky in that 12 teams in the league were worse than us.
I was panicking like a stupid girl here for weeks thinking we were gonna drop. Don't even care about being vaulted, I'd well and truly filled me kecks about it. God knows how we finished 8th looking at the stats since he took over. Extreme luck I'd say.
