Sam Allardyce Explains Cenk Tosun Situation

Almost identical, even down to bringing in a fraud of an owner kicking it all off.
And the problem is, moshiri isn't even close to being as rich to the point where he can chuck 200 million a season to fix this mess. He is a poor billionaire to most owners in the league (think he is the 12th richest, with most of his money tied down into assets, shares and businesses/property)

We are screwed. Gonna have to sell most of these crap players at a big big loss. Another manager is a write off as well. The money will dry up very shortly and we don't have any more Crown Jewels to sell if any more

Much rather we had bought semi-decent defenders, letting too many in is causing much more pain than the scoring.
Just shows how many cracks Roms goals covered up last season.

weird because he said whilst he's in charge money isn't an issue

Because he is a fraud.

If money was no issue we wouldn't be having to rely on the local council (which is on its knees) for money and struggle to find the rest for the stadium.

The guy "invested" a relatively small amount of money (for a billionaire) and is likely to make Double or triple of his investment without doing anything (because the lucrative tv and sponsorship money currently inflating prices)

Shock as Sam realises that the player he has signed from a dominant team in the Turkish league, where his job was to finish chances, can't play the role he wants his forward to do.

Still nobody could have seen it coming.

Cenk is mentioned in World Soccer this month.

Article is about how Ryan Babel has thrived alongside him and Quaresma in an ultra attacking team.

So nothing like how we play.

£27m on a 26 year old, playing on a dominant, ultra-attacking team in a poor quality retirement league.

What could possibly go wrong?

Data is far more accurate than watching a player once or twice.

However you also have to look at the type of team a player plays in to see if the data is relevant (how often he touches the ball, where he passes it, the types of goals he scores, how fast he is, where he moves). If we played exactly like Besiktas then his data would be more relevant. As we are complete opposites in style I worry that the data isn't.

The fact you mentioned he plays well next to Ryan babel (31 and crap for years) and quaresma (34 and crap for years) should tell you the quality of league he is used to, the quality of opposition he faces week to week, and the quality of himself where even in such a terrible league, his numbers where extremely average.

Are you an RS wum or do you still not understand what the council are doing for us even after its been explained ad nauseam? We are using their credit rating to secure a better interest on a loan. That's it. They aren't handing over money to the club.

Before the transfer, I'm sure Sam mentioned that he'd had Cenk on his radar for a while and was an admirer? That's quite a huge U-turn!

Shamefully, it's only another example of how much of a shambles the club is in.

1.no I'm not

2. Name me a stadium or large project that hasn't went way over budget. - especially now brexit is happening and the prices of steel etc will be skyrocketing.

3. The council will be taking on a loan, then loaning the money to the club - they are stillhandng over money to the club.

They are not magically "handing over their credit rating"

We are fighting with relegation this season and the team looks pants. We have also struggled financially for years, does this not seem like a risk at all? It's laughable to suggest there is no risk involved for the council.

My overall point was the fact moshfraud keeps saying money is no issue - yet we are still struggling to find it despite we have a large chunk of money which looks to be coming from the council.
