Diabolical? Or just performances of a bloke who has literally not kicked a ball in 4 months and instead of having games behind closed doors and 35 minutes here and there for the under 23s is having to play against lads who have had quality pre season's.

It's a pity he's not a mercenary ..... He could have told the gaffer he's tired, got a private jet to Venezuela to get his nomination for father of the year and do some pre season by smoking a pipe.... Then we may have got to prematurely write Dobbin off before his career has begun.

What alternative would people be playing instead?

Easy to slate a clearly unfit player but we needed a free transfer and he's been thrown in as DCL and Richy are injured.

There is an argument we should have loaned a player instead but starting quality loan players cost a fee and usually demand playing time.

As always the focus is on players for being useless rather than the mistakes made that have got us into this situation.

Gradually getting fitter.

Diabolical yes! Have you watched him? His lack of fitness should come into play in the second half or the last half an hour. What’s the excuse for his performances during the first half in each of these games?

This my concern. Forgetting about his fitness, he’s not made an impact at the start of games when he’s fresh.

Hope it is just a fitness thing because on the evidence of his games so far, I could queue for drinks at half time, pay and get back to my seat faster than he can run 10 yards. He turns like a square wheel and carries the attacking threat of a plastic spoon.

He should never be starting, he could barely walk, let alone run from 80 mins yesterday, but was much better (by his standards).

Needs to bury that early chance.
