I think he could yet be an asset as a squad player. Lad has been thrown in at the deep end without being fit
This.
He ran himself ragged again...well as much as he could, but he kept their two CBs honest and stopped them going walkabout forward. Even had two half chances - work in progress.
Probably get fit enough and then be dropped to the bench when DCL or Richarlson...probably Richo...comes back.

Remember when playing in the Sunday league, you often came up against a fat centre forward who was blowing for tugs after his first attempt at sprinting. You could tell that he was probably a decent player when he was at school, but, 2 packets of fags a day and 8 pints of lager every Friday and Saturday night meant that that was all behind him. Well that is Rondon at the moment, I would have no issue with him not being match fit after his long lay off, but, his general physical condition is very poor, he is well over weight and very sluggish looking.

Will he ever get his fitness levels back? Time will tell, but, at 32 with no top class football in the past 2 years, I would say it is unlikely that there will be too much improvement. Hopefully we don’t see him again until January when the cup starts and hopefully there will be a lot less of him to see by then.

I'm not a great scholar of players out there in the footie world and only knew that he'd played for Albion and Newcastle. When he signed for us and in our circumstances regards injuries I had him just as a stop gap until our front two get back. Hopefully that'll be for the West Ham game. In the meantime it's just to keep opposition teams defence on their toes.
He was like a cart horse mate the other ten players were brilliant......
