I’d go as far as to say that the main political party’s are erring on the side to placate as many different peoples views as possible as if they’re upset to be called too far right or too far left. Even Jeremy Corbyn(don’t like him) has softened his approach on certain policies. I’d rather he acted like he did last year, so you knew exactly what he represents. Same for the right tip toeing on issues putting the feelers out. I prefer a straight like it or lump it.Parties are veering towards the margins across the board it seems to me. Blair and Cameron were both pretty central as far as their parties went, but what has followed both has been a move to the margins. Not a good thing imo.
