I see he’s come up with another wheeze, to introduce 20mph speed limits..all those in green....that should stop those yobs on motor scooters getting away...meanwhile everybody else will be able to go 12mph faster than the average 8mph that they do now........

"In 2016 a total of 116 people were killed and 2,385 seriously injured. TfL figures published last night suggest a significant increase in road deaths last year, up 13 per cent year-on-year to 133. "

I would say slowing cars down and preventing further accidents and deaths is a good thing.

Also London isn't congested all day you know. There are times the roads open up and people have opportunity to speed.

I agree with you. However I would probably guess that those causing deaths are driving faster than the speed limit anyway. So what will happen is that they will still ignore the speed limits and kill people, meanwhile the millions who obey the speed limits and don’t kill anyone will just drive slower.....but we will see...... meanwhile the number of people murdered with knives is rising towards the roadkill number......
