well said mate the RS are looking at the likes of Salah and we are dicking about looking at cheap Scottish "prospect signings"
who remembers Kris Boyd being called the "Scottish Rooney" when he broke the SPL goals record? he moved to the championship and was ****e and flopped, like 95% of SPL players.

not saying he will be bought for now but another addition to the squad the bigger money moves will be for immediate first team like McGeady

Ryan Gauld is real talent, it's not like he'd be cheap either, a lot of clubs are scouting him!

you say that like its so easy to pluck a 60k coleman out the hat mate, its not and considering we are a whisk away from the top 4 with Spurs and Utd looking weak this is our best chance in years and nows not the time to be looking at SPL prospects we need real quality, Fernando, M'vila, Batshauyi, Demba Ba, take a chance on quality signings to improve the squad. Like I said earlier in another thread 95% of players who come from the SPL don't cut it in England:

Hutton, Wilson, Caldwell, Mcmanus, Berra, Gordon, Whittaker, Goodwillie, Riordan, Naismith, Boyd, Mcdonald, Jelavic etc. just a small example of flops nows not the time IMO to take that risk, if we were sat in 8th fair enough but we have a massive chance of CL this season and should be looking at higher calibre of players who can make immediate impacts.

I think people are failing to realize that we are only looking for short term replacements for jelavic(if he leaves), Gibson and kone and some squad players(mcgeady) this window based on Roberto's comments. I think he wants to do his big business in the summer window

This is correct IMO.

Who is available in January? It's players that ain't making there current teams. That's not saying you can't pick up any usefull players but the best business is almost all conducted in the summer.
