barkley has great talent but seemingly less rigor. to me, he doesn't seem particularly reflective as a player.
I think that's the core reason his decision making is still terrible, he seems to struggle to recognize situations in-game. I think he's fairly instinctual, which is what let's him pull off those marvelous turns and miraculous counters-- honestly, in part because they make no sense to attempt half the time-- but fails him in more basic instances of "how do I work a through ball" or "am I telegraphing this pass"
