Ross Barkley

If Barkley goes to Spurs or anyone else I'll hate the lad more than Wayne tbh. I understood Rooney leaving us as at the time we were a club in the doldrums going nowhere. Whereas now Barkley has the chance to be part of his boyhood club and actually try win something.

I do think he'll stay but it's not looking great right now.

There's nothing to worry about on this.

The club should have got this sorted sooner and it's weird that they haven't.

Koeman added pressure last week by saying it's in the hands of the board and the player.

I doubt Ross is looking for a move but the fact of the matter is is you don't allow a player of his quality and standing within the club to get to the last year of his deal.

But, confident he'll sign. This one is and always should have been a priority.

I hope he stays but if he goes he will be much much easier to replace than if Lukaku leaves. Lukaku leaving would be a epic blow to the clubs performance, barkley less so.

Surely the same situation pertains to Barkley as to Lukaku's, if we sort ourselves out and start to put together a squad that can deliver a challenge to the top four and compete on a European level then why go.
However if the talk coming from the upper levels of the club is just talk then he should go somewhere else and try and get a club to match his ambition.
There comes a time when loyalty becomes stupidity. Handcuffing yourself to mediocrity is such a time.
However I believe we will show the necessary ambition and both players will achieve their potential with us.:celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

So weird this link. Couple of months ago half so called fans just slated him every week and wanted him out the club now he's back to his best it's a disaster.... should have never ever gotten to this point though. Reckon he's even been offered a new deal yet or they're to busy fannying around over rom?

My understanding from Koemans comments if I'm correct is that if he isn't signed up by the summer he's out the door?

Frankly, I don't think Ross is good enough for a starting role in any of the top clubs in the Premier League. I'm pretty confident he will sign on the dotted line.

Next season is gonna be really difficult without Lukaku, Barkley, Davies, Gana and Coleman at the club. It's so difficult for clubs like us and Southampton who sell all their best players every year...

Seriously though lads the last time we sold our best player was Fellaini and that was because he was desperate to leave, Martinez didn't rate him and we got nearly 30 mil out of them! I would argue that we come out of pretty much every transfer window stronger than before, that's certainly true of Koeman's first two.
