Ross Barkley

It is 99.9999% certain ;)

Soon to be drawn up, ready and awaiting the Lost Biro Of Goodison

I think we should all offer St. Anthony an alm :)

haha :D

No idea if he's anywhere near signing it like, but Koeman's comments (re. the board/player needing to agree) lead me believe he's applying pressure to both parties.

Ross knows he's loved and valued at the club, and he's an Evertonian through and through (though I appreciate that matters very little in the grand scheme of things).

Hopefully, he hasn't had his head turned, because surely he can see - as everybody can - how much his game has improved this season.

I feel like this gets exaggerated. A tiny minority wanted him sold. A few fans got on his back sometimes out of frustration. The vast majority have supported him completely from minute one.

It's annoying that the media will only pick up on a few groans for a misplaced pass, and completely ignore all the banners or how often the Gwladys Street sings his name.

to be fair mate I mean more as in this forum, people I sit by in the street end ( bar a couple ) never seemed to have a problem with ross

Spurs would be the worst place possible for him to go. They have the strongest host of players in that middle to attacking mid positions.

He plays all across the front 2/3 behind the striker, fluid interchange which seems to be the go in a Koeman team.
Barkley, Kev, Calvert Lewin and Lookman e.t.c all move pretty fluidly in between those positions.
As to whether he's better than Kev, here's the stats in a team that finished below us last season and will do so again this season.
This season Kev averages an assist and a goal (4 of each) in every 370 minutes of PL football.
Siggy averages a goal (8) every 317 minutes, and an assist (11) every 228 minutes. Notably more productive.
Comparing last season Sigurdsson averaged a goal every 265 minutes (11) and an assist every 1458 minutes (2)
Mirallas averaged a goal every 250 minutes (4) and an assist every 500 minutes (2).
All that is telling me, as well as what I've seen of both players with my own eyes is that Siggurdsson is the better player, and younger at that too.

He will play across those positions yes, but so does and has Ross. They are too similar.

For me it would be 1 or the other.

Sigurdsson is not a player that will run at the full back with pace and/or power.

Paddy power on talk sport. Just said Barkley is 5/6 to be at Everton at the start of next season

That's a fantastic price in my view

Toffee through and through. He is going no where. Loves the club and has never once said anything about ambition outside of Everton.

Chill.

It would be bad enough losing lukaku this summer, but to lose Ross who has been at the club since a young boy and a big evertonian, would be a real kick in the teeth for us. What message would that send out to other players wanting to join the 'project' as koeman calls it.

Start of the season or the end of the transfer window?

If it's start of the season then it's practically buying money. Cos even if we do sell him it'll be in the 31st of august, with us signing capoue on loan as replacement.

I would imagine it would be when the window shuts
