All cards are in his hands now. If he would go to Spurs it would look like he would have played us. I dont believe this will happend but I gotta say Ross would suit Spurs better than in any other PL team that possibly would try to lure him in.

If Barkley goes to Spurs or anyone else I'll hate the lad more than Wayne tbh. I understood Rooney leaving us as at the time we were a club in the doldrums going nowhere. Whereas now Barkley has the chance to be part of his boyhood club and actually try win something.

I do think he'll stay but it's not looking great right now.

I'm not sure whether the lack of urgency is the club's ineptitude or a complete lack of loyalty and respect from Ross.

Why? If he wants to go there is nothing anyone can do about it. If he doesn't sign within the first couple of weeks of summer then it would be remiss of the club to allow his contract to run out. He will I am sure be offfered a more than reasonable deal, but players hold all the cards now

What exactly would you have done? Sold him last Summer with 2 years left on his contract? Chain him to a desk face down, and threaten to Greek him unless he signs?

Was a contract offer on the table last summer or the year before?

Was a contract offer there when he struggled at the start of the season?

Did we show belief in Ross when he needed it?

Hopefully he stays as hes heading towards the level we all know he can achieve...but I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to try elsewhere. Every time he gets the ball there is an element in the crowd on his back straight away..and here some of the negative comments are epic...hes blossoming under Koeman in what appears to be tough love...Be great moving forward if we get him and Rom signing and the new stadium announced
