He thanked the club and staff on instagram a few days back

“Despite a challenging few months I’ve loved every minute of my time at Everton and would like to thank everyone at the club, coaches, players and members of staff I’ve worked with for everything you’ve done for me over the past 13 years”

No mention of the Everton fans though, though he has mentioned how brilliant the Chelsea fans are already in his gushing interview, boy is he in for a surprise. They are already kicking off about him getting Frank Lampards number 8 shirt and he hasn't kicked a ball yet.

Lol at everyone hating him and calling him a rat but wanting him to thank them at the same time.

Football fans lol

He'll live on reputation, do ok in the odd game here and there, and still be worth enough for Chelsea to sell him on at profit in a few years.

That's how this works.

First time I have seen a player leaving a club where he was mainly loved and not have anything good to say about the fans at that club. But hey ho if that satisfies you.
He will get the same if not worse there. He contributes nothing.

Couple of us on twitter have got the tifo ready for him for next season. Don't worry boys and girls, it'll be great.

Am I the only one who had to google the word tifo?

Now that I have looked it up, I consider it the least 'Everton' word I have ever heard.

You mean the only fans to boo their team off at half time at Wembley???

Sometimes best to say nothing.

Dent agree in booing individuals at all, but if your team is playing awful, with a perceived lack of effort, then surely them fans, who have paid their money, reserve the right to boo that team. Sometimes it's best not to reply....

The reserve the right, but that doesn't mean they should do it. We're called 'supporters' for a reason.

Only that wasn't the case was it. The boos were aimed at the manager. It was clear the players were trying but were operating under bad organisation and bad tactics. At the half time interval the senior players reportedly told the manager to do one and came out in the second half playing their own game plan. As a result we should have won the match.
