As if people are thanking this lad! The way he has left is a disgrace. It doesn't even matter he was a so called blue. Any player who would have done that would have been a disgrace as well. He has cost the club £20 million so he can probably pocket a nice signing on fee. While we have been paying his wages and paying for him to recover from his injury. The way he has gone about it all is disgusting as not like we offered him a crap wage. We offered him £100,000 a week. Fine if you then went to leave but least help the so called club you love to get the best deal. Hope his career is a massive flop!

agreed, what exactly are we thanking him for? He's cost us a whole transfer fee of a new player, £20m is a massive amount. Doesn't go with my best wishes what so ever. It was probably his agent advising him to do this, but i don't care, he's supposed to be an evertonian at the end of the day.

I think this as well, what do people realy think he is worth? Too many injuries one the last one he might not ever got fully over, bit part player, as you say hasn't fulfilled his potential and he is now 24, 15m is fine

sam clucas went to swansea for £13m. I didn't even notice him play for hull, never mind be any good, so based on that? god knows. I would have thought later in the window it could have got to £20m. But alexis sanchez may be going for around £35m when he's in a similar position and he's about 10 times the player barkley is, so i dunno. £15m i'm ok with, i thought it was going to be £0 and half a years worth more of wages down the drain.

The issue is more that in the Summer we could have received a much heftier sum, but for whatever reason Ross chose to stay at Everton.

A few months down the line, now he's gone to the same club for a reduced fee while meanwhile contributing absolutely zero to his boyhood club.

No wonder people are mentioning a conspiracy to increase his wealth and helping Chelsea; this all wreaks of a person lacking any real dignity.

As others have mentioned, I have no real quarrels with him leaving. Instead, it's the manner in which he's manipulated the situation and his club.

Not saying never as look at the change with the perception of Rooney over the years, but I think he's most probably truly burnt his bridges!

yep, i mean i wouldn't be anywhere near this annoyed if
a) he wasn't an evertonian or
b) we hadn't have brought him up from a kid and stood by him through plenty of horrific injuries
or even c) if he'd actually been fit for at least one game. The fact he was injured the whole time smacks of chelsea not being initially aware of the severity and then striking an agreement with ross and his agent to do the deal again in january.
Who knows, we may have agreed to that too, as we didn't want to risk them buying someone else and then come january he'd have no suitors and then we'd lose £15m more? It's definitely a possibility, but the silence and hiding on his part is the biggest let down. Rumours started to circulate after that u-turn that he'd changed his mind and wanted to stay, but apparently he hasn't even stepped foot in goodison since. What's that? he's just given up on everton now?

He won't go as bad as rodwell but he doesn't have the mentality to play at the very top like rooney did. I wish him no good will anyway, i think he's repaid our decade of faith with utter contempt.

i think us as a club need to identify now where we're going wrong and why we're letting talented local boys not fulfilling their career here. Look at those over the park, most of their youngsters have stayed with them for the best part of their career? Why is it? They don't treat their players with any care, that's for sure, as soon as they retire, the RS don't want to know. Is it down to success? Possibly.

Chelsea have clearly bought him as an investment as they said. They'll sell him soon to a lesser club and probably double their outlay, such a shame that Ross didn't seem to realise this.

Ah well. Good luck, see you at Newcastle soon

should of waited till later in window.. if coutinho goes for 150m... then all transfers go up 25%

at least more than 15m that we got.

Mixed feelings on this one, fondly remember the player when on form for us. He's not played in so long that I won't miss him. More than likely exaggerated by his time out through such a tough period. I can't blame him for wanting to test his skills elsewhere, especially as in my personal life I'm going through something similar.

Can't forgive the £20m he cost the club though. He wanted out, the chance was there and he waited. That alone speaks volumes, he clearly doesn't believe in himself or his ability.
