It certainly would have suited him more
His presence wouldn’t have suited them or the overall squad though

At this point in his career he’s at his level

One could argue he could still do a job as squad depTh, but he shouldn’t by anywhere near our starting 11, and as others have stated, no way he would have gone for that

Do posters on here think that if we would have signed Rooney, with the present crop of signings, do people think he would have been more of a success, or lasted longer ?

Just wish he was coming through the academy now. The club and team are in a far healthier position to match his ambition and fulfil his potential.
Still would've got booed, local lad and all that, see Barkley Davies etc.

Players like Gomes, Richarlison, Bernard and Digne would all have been on his wavelength. Would’ve been much different to when he first started with us. I recall him playing through balls where the rest of the team would react 5 seconds after he’d played it.

He had that at United and most of their fans thought he was finished some time ago. Shame he didn't look after himself but his choice I guess
