Just a question topic to get people thinking :

Do posters on here think that if we would have signed Rooney, with the present crop of signings, do people think he would have been more of a success, or lasted longer ?

I think his game time would have been severely limited had he played. In fact I'm pretty sure that's why he left as he would have been told that he wasn't going to be a starter. You seen the tantrums he had every time he was subbed so I don't think he would have taken kindly to not being in the team for a sustained period of time.

Him moving on has benefitted his career as its given him a new lease of life in a less demanding league.

Fair reply there is that.

Dunno Sagey, thought before Christmas he was one of our better players, but the point is he was surrounded by similar players, who were all one paced.
His legs have gone and have been for a few seasons now, there's no place for him in any sort of competitive football he just gets in the way.

Give me the fast hungry players we have now rather than slow fat bitter has beens like him
