Romelu Lukaku

No problem with rom's performance last night, it was a great team performance and he worked their backline hard all game. I agree about his touch was off at vital times but his overall play was good last night. Just a bit worried how he is coming across in the dressing room, titish behaviour last night with Williams.

Not sure about that. He was hiding quite a lot in that game. Especially when Calvert-Lewin came on. Rom does it a lot, he'll stand the wrong side of the full back and point to another player for them to pass to. Or he'll just stand there and not show.

He has loads of talent but for whatever reason he doesn't always use it. Last night when against Rojo he tried to take him on a few times, but it seemed against Bailly he kept trying to shoot past him. If he doesn't think he can go past him, then just hold it up and wait for others to come in to play. Otherwise you're just giving the ball away.

I think he's already gone, and he knows where. He was playing for himself.

This ^

There was one break last night in the second half and there was an obvious run inside across the line of their CB's and he just didn't offer himself at all and Mirallas had no chance of picking him out.

He completely drops his arse against aggressive centre-halves.

Everton won and lost the same games with Cahill and Felliani up front as they do with this supposedly world class striker.

It's going to be fine.

I don't want to be winning the same amount of games as we did with Cahill and Fellaini.

I want to build a successful team. You do that by building around players like Lukaku. Not isolating him and then moaning about what he's not good at.

I think we can all agree that when we are the better team, and win the midfield battle, Lukaku scores goals with ease and wins us points. And that when we struggle against teams like we did at Anfield, he is much less effective. So surely you would rather get the rest of the team up to scratch so that we dominate more, and give him a platform to win us more games? Rather than bombing our best goalscorer in 30 years out for someone who will run dead hard every week.

Could Lukaku have done better, of course. I mentioned last night that he should have taken Rojo on more when he had the chance. But also, we were so slow in getting him support. He was so isolated a number of times last night.

Sell him, go balls deep on Martial.

Preferable if United go in for Lukaku and we can get Martial and Rooney plus some cash.

Rooney majnly to raise our profile and provide competition and guidance to Barkley. He will also provide some much needed depth in what will more than likely be a long season (Europa League dependent)

If we come out of the next transfer window having lost Lukaku but gained say Martial, Dembele and Rooney in the attack we'd have done well.

Martial cost United £40m 2 years ago, rising to £58m. In the incredibly unlikely event that Man United sell him, he will go for just as much Lukaku. Despite being nowhere near his level yet. 39 club goals compared to 141, and only a year or two younger than him.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's somehow got out in the locker room that Lukaku is gone after the season. Lukaku was playing a bit selfish and his teammates seemed to be really angry with him. I'm not sure if that would happen if there wasn't something else brewing under the surface.

I fully expect him to be gone and I just hope we make a ton of money and spend it wisely. Try as best we can to stay away from mercenaries but it'll be difficult.
