Didn't Sunderland go "lets buy all the Spurs rejects" route? Last I checked it didn't work out too well for them.

I know a couple of ( very frustrated ) Spurs fans . They say , Roman turns up some weeks , and not others . More often the latter . Plus , when he dont show , he really dont show .
Nah , thanks , but nah .
We had our chance with Arshavin . Boat missed , alas .

So Russian, what do you think of Pogrebnyak then? And how would you compare him to Pavlyuchenko (or Love, for that matter)? I know Pav keeps him out of the Russian team, for example.

Seems Spurs have been something of a graveyard for strikers. Going as far back as Rebrov. They are like a version of Liverpool - they destroyed Morientes and Cisse and Kuyt was a striker in Holland. As for Spurs - they seem to want to ship out top scorer Bent this summer. What is all that about!

Ok, I rate Vagner Love more then them, but he is a type of player like Jo, more technic, not physical, but Love is much better then Jo. As for Roman and Pogrebnyak, both are good up front. Pav is a little bit clever and Pog is a little bit stronger, but both will bring some help to Everton. This is my opinion, I watch every good game in Russian Premiership.
