Rodwell

I think his injurie situation is like Gerard's was when he was round the same age, too much training etc whilst he's still growing but no reason to suggest it will hold him back in the long run. So if we were to sell fairly low surely it'll be with a shedload of add ons

For ages I've given up hope on Rodwell, don't you lot make me believe again!

He does **** all! Then again, he does glide down the pitch like a stallion...

And his goal against Man U still gives me wet dreams.

I'd love to keep Rodwell if we can, still young and I still reckon he'll turn out class. Shame very few on here actually agree with me

If Rodwell were to be sold for anything near the money we would want from him the he'd have to play good enough for us to not want him to be sold...........

........ At which point he would get injured again.

This. Sad, but probably true.

What worries me is that we'll sell him and he'll turn out to be friggin world class for someone else.

I agree he'll turn out to be a good footballer, but his hamstrings seem to be made from rice paper. If he gets over his injury problem we've got a class act on our hands

fact remains...he was one of our best player till he was injured, England call up, looked boss, should've scored against Spain and sweaden.

People forget that the team complety changed in January. From a misfiring team with no width and strikers not performing for half a season to having Donovan, pienaar, jelavic etc. He never played in that team

imo he would've enhanced what we had in January if fit.

spot on i think

Not sure if any of you are aware of this stat, but Jack had the highest pass success rate at the club this season with 87.6% (332/379). Admittedly, he only started 11 games, but that is still quite impressive. Gibson also started 11 games and finished on 84.1% (390/464) pass success rate, and everyone raves on about how solid his passing is, including myself.

I really think we need to play Jack somewhere his passing accuracy can be put to the best use, maybe as a deep lying playmaker? The Fulham game aside, Jack is too wasteful in attack for my liking, the majority of his shots are off target. He's not clinical enough in other words. He's at his best passing from deep and intercepting the opposition.

I also think we should keep hold of him over selling him on the cheap. All he needs is a full season and everyone will be hyping him up again. I'm confident on that.

Obviously, the biggest issue is his fitness.

If you only pass sideways, you're bound to have good completion percentages.

Darron Gibson is far more comfortable on the ball than Rodwell, he also seems to get stuck in a bit more.

Jack looks like a passenger whenever he plays, he's still a young lad but I wouldn't lose any sleep if we sold him this summer.

When you grow up learning from Paul Scholes, you're bound to be comfortable on the ball. Maybe, just maybe, Jack's confidence is low and he doesn't get as stuck in as he probably should do because of his injuries.
