Well yeah he's good and had an awesome season for Fulham but would just be like having another Cahill. Hmm 4-5-1 larvely. i'd rather see an exciting right winger or someone creative like a pienaar. I'd love to see Donovan but wouldn't like to spend money for him if we can get him on a free in March

I'd love to see another player put the ball in the net besides the Jellyfish

You don't rate an attacking mid who bagged 23 for Fulham? You don't rate a player who was 4th leading scorer in the prem? Tough crowd.

Wow, the Yanks will have nothing said about their players!

He had a good season, but at 29 is he really worth £9m? We're crying out for someone who's direct and has pace, not something that Dempsey really has in his game.

Now if we could get him for £5m, that would be a good price and a no brainer.

He is NOTHING like Cahill, as much as we loved the fella, he was limited in his ability with the ball at his feet. Complete contract to Dempsey, who scored more goals last season in the prem than Cahill could ever have dreamed of doing.

Probably not £9, but I'd go £7 for him. His style suits to playing at a high level for another 4 or so years.

Is a 29 year old player that scored 20+ goals last season playing behind a main striker for majority worth 9m?

Is it even debatable? Jesus. Of course hes worth 9m. Obviously would prefer him cheaper to leave more cash for other improvements, but would definitely have him here.

Well you'll have to give Moyes a bell and tell him, seems as though he looks to buy players who have a sell on value.

I'd take him for 7 quid to be honest, probably wouldn't stretch to 9 quid though, thats almost a tenner and we cant really afford that

Cahill and Dempsey have similar goal scoring rates if you discount cahill's post foot injury games. Dempsey is better than current Cahill clearly but he's very similar to Tim in his prime.

How is that relevant at all to the discussion of whether we should have Dempsey now? in 2012? You know, the year that Cahill was ****?

Still different players too. Completely different. Dempsey has 10x the ability in his FEET. Cahill more ability with his head.

Because you said this "He is NOTHING like Cahill, as much as we loved the fella, he was limited in his ability with the ball at his feet." and I thought that was bollocks?

You're the one who seems to think a comparison with one of our best players of recent times is an insult.
